Well I make it 13-11 to the ABs, but close enough. Still a fair bit of pessimism, or realism, or fatalism depending on your POV.

Aus 25 AB 23 JO'C scoots over off a counter attack in the last minute.
Also: McCaw gets officially warned 3 times with no yellow.
Barnes kicks three times in a row straight to Mils and his yanked for Finger
PdV claims that the Boks weren't rewarded enough penalties, since Australia and NZ got all the calls and SA got none. Proof that the refs are against him.

Bookies have it Aust $3.25, NZ 1.35.

Some good odds there for those predicting Men in Gold success.

Huge upset at Etihad tonight in AFL. Essendon beat St Klida by a stack of points. Essendon were at about 5-1 odds.

Same venue tomorrow night. Another boilover for the underdogs ??

I agree that the reason for the underwhelming support for the Wallabies in the score predictions is twofold: that this AB team is verging on greatness if it hasn't reached there already and the Wallabies have been alarmingly inconsistent all year. So 95% of the predictors would love the Wallabies to win (the rest are Kiwis) but a lot of us have been disappointed too often to be expecting a win and are just hoping. My heart says 35-15 but my head says 15-35.

Men in Gold 14, Men in Black 32 after 38 minutes.

A quick browse through predictions suggests that no one will be close.

At 1/2 time in Roosters vs Eels in Mungo ball tonight it was 24-12. Final Score was 48-12.

Hope we do not see any parallels with the Wobbolies v AB's in 1/2 time, full time scores.

We could be staring a 60 - 20 final score line. FFS.

Very clinical performance by Men in Black so far, with touches of genius from Cory Jane.

As there is no confirmation that we have managed to organise our own Susie the waitress to serve a meal to the AB's tonight, I'd have to say AB's 30 Wobbolies 15.

Goodness me. I was almost on the money. Pity I didn't mention previously that the above was only my 1/2 time score prediction! :)

My score prediction was only valid if the Wallabies won. Since they didn't I don't look like such a fool hehehe

Those calling for Mass sackings of players and coaches should perhaps reflect on their own assessments of potential as evidenced in the pick the scores predictions. This Test footy game really is a tough gig.

How many of those who predicted Wallaby victories or close games to the AB's were wishful thinkers and based their predictions on an outcome they wanted rather than an objective cold hard assessment and comparison of the relative strengths of the combatants?

While I did not get on the thread bandwagon, I thought it would be an easy victory to the AB's, but nowhere as easy as it turned out to be. I thought AB's in the 30's, and Wallabies in the 'teens.
