I am a massive Hynes fan. Have been for ages. But I get the feeling, and I hope I am wrong, that he will end up another Paul Carozza.

Squabba had that awesome year in 1992 when his QLD form was finally rewarded with test selection. He went on to win player of the series in that classic Bledisloe series and score 2 tries in that famous match v the Boks in their return to test rugby. I think he was even named Wallaby player of the year.

And then he was rarely seen again. A test or two here or there, but in reality he was just warming the seat until someone with more natural talent/ more flair came along.

I sense that Hynes is doing the same.

I'd rather have Hynes than Lote at the Tahs.

Well that's it, Nick, you're fucked. Treason's a capital offence so I've organised a firing squad and a stout post.

WOULD YOU MIND STANDING STILL WHILE THEY TAKE AIM. :police: :police: :police:

With Cameron Shepherd & Lote fit you may be right.

You are going to shoot him for replacing a Queenslander with a Queenslander? ;)

I agree. While Hynes has ability, he just lack that jen e qua attributes. Generally, he's there but nothing to put in the diary.
