Round 2 of the NRC is coming up and this Sunday sees Perth Spirit hosting Brisbane City. With both sides winning their inaugural matches this clash is 3 vs 4 on the ladder. Expect both teams to come out firing after an exciting start to the competition.

Returning Wallabies for both sides - McCalman and Hodgson for the Spirit, Horwill and Gill for City, should see a cracking battle in the forwards. In a further boost the Spirit should see a large number of super rugby players injected into the side, including the return of Kyle Godwin from injury. His opposite Samu Kerevi was imperious in his last trip west and their clash will be one to watch. Elsewhere, young flyhalves Zack Holmes(Spirit) and Jake McIntyre(City) will both be looking to impress.

This is the first home game for the Spirit, so if you can make it to the game get down to McGillivray Oval at UWA Sports Park and show your support. Kick off is at 3:30pm, $15 for Adults, $10 for Students and $5 for Juniors(3-17 years). Tickets available here: http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/buil...atid=694&tm_link=venue_msg-0_13004D0CE5AE8DC6

If Kerevi and Godwin are both playing 12 it will be an interesting match up. Godwin was one of the Force's best defenders this year so hopefully he can shut Kerevi down.

The battle between Gill and Hodgson will be massive too.

No McCalman for the spirit though.

Pity McCalman won't be there, wonder if this means he's definitely in the 23? I suppose the wallabies don't have any depth at 6 or 8 outside the squad though, so maybe it's just insurance.

Godwin is coming back from a long injury lay off, and wasn't in good form (apart from defensively) before he was injured anyway. I wouldn't expect much of him for a few games yet.

Managing a groin injury I believe.

No Gill yet.

Flanker Liam Gill was unavailable for selection due to an upper-body injury received during the Premier Rugby grand final two weeks ago.

With Kerevi moved to 13 we're seemingly denied the Godwin Kerevi matchup!

Hopefully whoever plays 13 for the Spirit can tackle!

Seems that City are loading up on the injury list already.

Off the top of my head.....
Injured forwards:
Browning, Schatz, Gill, Faagese (?) (sure I spelt that wrong)
Backs:
Genia, Cooper, Turner, Tapuai, Va'aulu (?)

I am sure that some of the rotation, e.g. THP, is so the coaches get a look at all the players.

Hope that City has been working hard on their defence.

I always assumed Phil Kite was ocker as all hell. (I was thinking someone like former one test Wallaby prop Peter Kay).

I then discovered that it was actually pronounced Ki-tay and he was nothing like what I'd imagined. Looked good in the first NRC game though. Hopefully he snaffles a Reds contract.

Maybe not seems Link sees Godwin as a possible 13 for the wallabies so that might have a bearing on selection could see something like this.

9 Turner
10 Holmes
12 Burton
13 Godwin

Plenty of quality wa boys right there.

If Godwin is viewed as a 13 by link imagine this combo in a few years.

12 Kerevi
13 Godwin

Australia's answer to Nonu/smith ?

Godwin defended at 13 for most of the season for the Force. He has the footwork to be a more evasive style 13 who can hit it up when needed or feed the back 3 - so you could call him Smith like

Both line ups looking pretty strong, should be a ripper.

Is there anyway to stream this? I know QRU do the home games, but what about the away
