Seems that way it's all to do with the travel they have already done during the super rugby season it's not so bad I guess they are using it as a major development opportunity for the future which can only be a good thing. Very interested to see how Lacey goes I'm expecting big things from the young bloke in the coming years.

Making a halfback your captain always an interesting move, because they're typically yappy little men and just about the reg. When it comes time to have a serious conversation it gets a bit lost...

Another try to Perth as they start to dictate the game nicely. A good kick from them forced the Rams on to their line and they won the scrum. A few more phases later and they had an overlap on the left hand side. Zack Holmes then goes over for his first try of the match.

The conversion is also kicked.

Perth 16 - 10 Rams

Crowd shot :p

A try right on half time gives the Perth Spirit a great end to the half. They win a penalty, and a line out, about 5 metres from their line. Like their second try, they pick and go, and create space on the left hand side. There is a 2 on 1 overlap and Dillyn Leyds goes over the line to score. It is his 4th try in the competition. Perth miss the conversion but take a handy lead into the half.

Perth 21 - 10 Rams

Perth score again thru Scoble and bring the margin back to what it was at half time. They miss the conversion and it is the Spirit by 11 points.

Perth 26 - 15 Rams

@ approx 50 mins

Great run from Jed Holloway as he scores the third try for the Rams today.
He gets the ball and sprints past the defence to create a gap for himself.
The fullback for the Spirit tries to tackle him down but he can’t stop him from going over the line.
The conversion is kicked as well and the Rams are three points behind.

Rams finishing the better

The Rams take the lead with another try. Naiyaravaro has a hat trick and he has been a big threat to the defence of the Spirit today. His pace and his strength was too much for the Spirit again and he ran past them on the left hand side of the field to score. 15minutes to go

26 - 31 Rams

The Rams score again and the Spirit are being punished down the flanks.
Jerome McKenzie is the try scorer this time and his pace was too much for the Spirit. The conversion is kicked and the Rams lead by 13 points,

26 - 39 Rams

This is turning into a rout as the Rams score another try. They have scored three tries in four minutes. This time it is Stephen Mafi who crosses the line near the goal posts. The conversion is missed but the Rams lead by 18 points now.

Perth 26 - 44 Rams

Perth keep the match interesting as they score a try in the corner. They win the penalty from the scrum, after their knock on, and they spread from right to left. This creates the space in defence and Va’a Mailei scores the try. The conversion is successful and the Spirit are down by 10 points. 4 minutes to go.

Perth 34 - 44 Rams

Rams for the win! Spirit were leaky in defence and blew a few chances too.
