I'd like to see Palmer play a few more games before I nail him on the pecking order. He could be another Beale - celebrated before actually performing.

So are you saying Beale was celebrated before he performed at s14 level?, or are you saying he has never performed at s14 level?

I've not seen him in many games at Super rugby level nor seen him up against the likes of Myth. What's his work rate like? Does he hit rucks? Can he carry? I can't make any judgement on him at this stage until he is first choice at the Tahs and plays a season.

Consistently good over many games at Super rugby level and higher. First pick.
