What an arrogant twit. He couldnlt use thee words "I" and "me" more if he tried to.

That's just more rethoric on top of rethoric. Sounds like the chief clown managing the clown that.

Cowards for not calling it like it is. I bet you the only two peopl who couldn't start a test tomorrow are Juan Smith and Burger. The rest have in all likelihood recovered by now.

With respect, that isn't exactly the point. We know that most players play through the season with injuries (niggle or worse). I don't know if anyone has suggested most of these guys couldn't start a test, but the idea was to get them over anything they might have been carrying through the S15. I don't like the fact that we're going to see a little more history eroded tomorrow, but unfortunately this is the result of professionalism, the friggen ridiculous rugby calendar imposed on everyone by the media (and unions), and the overblown RWC.

Mate, you're trying to make excuses. Here are the words of your own supercoach a week or two ago
'Super glue won't even help those players... CJ van der Linde has a really bad groin and Johann Muller's hamstring is even worse but we will take them overseas. So can you imagine how badly injured the players who are staying behind are?"

Nothing about 'niggles' etc etc. Face it, it's an out and out lie.

Funny how Aus and NZ don't seem to be crying the same rivers you are. We're just getting on with playing rugby. And don't get me to remind you that in the S15 finals, it was all Aus and NZ teams, so you've had longer rests than us.

Bullshit / Bollocks / Boknai. Take your pick.

Look how much more the players in the NH comps play. Our Super Rugby players should shut their traps and get the fark on with it.

By all means, rest a few that have carried most of the work load. Guys like Victor and others who are getting older and typicall play through injury most of the time.

But to lie like our administration has is absolutely disgraceful. Par for the course with the SARU circus though and we fans just have to put up with it.

It will impact the Bok brand. I guarantee less people in SA, NZ and Aus will be watching tonight. I had a ticket booked to fly over this morning which I cancelled this week. I'll be fucked if I was to fly accross the ditch at a huge cost, book a hotel and sit and watch guys who should not wear that jersey get their arses handed to them.

This is a case of trying to cram three years of coaching into three weeks. PdV and his support staff haven't done much of the coaching bit and now Rassie quickly gets hauled in to do a hospital job.

He's got a point. NH sides play double what we do, admittedly they often rotate their larger squads, but still.

I keep hearing NH play more rugby than us. How many games do they play because I find it hard to believe.

Top 14 goes for about 45 weeks. I remember hearing a storey about Martin Johnson. The world cup victory was his 53rd game in a row.

I have managed to grow a ridiculous thick skin this past fortnight when it comes the Tri nations. I will start getting passionate about results RWC time.

Its almost unpatriotic to not care but Fok It, life is too short.

Even as painful it is to see these Farcical Test Matches I think it is the right decision been this CLOSE to the RWC.

Sorry but when you start using terms like "crying the same river" referring to me then it seems you're a bit emotional about the issue. My post was not about crying but about trying to offer a view which I think fits the situation. Everyone knows that the majority of the players could play if RWC was tomorrow but I'm also certain that most of them will have played through injuries of some sort.

Interesting. I'm getting a lesson on my literary imagery now? I forgot, PDV has a mortgage on all unusual turns of phrase. Sorry. Won't happen again. Sir.

Maybe someone turned the world on it's ass end and I wasn't looking. Because here I am as a Wallaby supporter arguing that the Springboks should be playing their best team and actually trying to win games and trophies, and Springbok supporters are arguing the opposite!

Well if you read my posts again you'll see my view, which isn't quite how you've described it. If you're going to put words in my mouth then no real point in the debate.

It's fair they got a week off, but that's different. Deans gave test caps out to players who shouldn't have been there full stop even with the Reds players resting due to selection. I don't want to get into this Deans argument as I have vehemently expressed my thoughts on this issue. However, I think PDV or any Tri Nations team for that matter has a right to rest players. I may not agree with it, but I do not think we should ask for compensation and demand an apology.

there were two bye weeks, another week off for finishing first and now the week that has just past so its not 21 weeks straight

The French clubs have two sqauds, T14 & Heineken.

That is not quite true. They have a larger squad and will pick from that same squad. Typically if their chances are gone in one compe they will start fielding a depleted team (often pretty crap) and keep their big names for the compe they are targeting.

They typicall start the season out deciding where their focu will be.

Well I should ask Marius Joubert about this then. Thats what he told me but you should know better. Thats the way Clermont operates.

It's noty the way Toulon operated and it's definitely not the way Racing operated. I saw a lot of their games and they mixed the players up.

Maybe Clermonth can afford two squads btu I doubt every team in france can.

I read somewhere that Steyn played over 3o games. Don't know if this is true.

It would be good to ask Lee Grant or Paris Tah.

Remember reading that for the 2010 season, Matt Henjak only played in the HC and not in the Top 14 for Toulon as the club had filled its foreign players quota for the Top 14...
