With Brendan Cannon coming out and calling for Filthy Waugh to get the nod I think it's only fair that everyone gets a say. So, if you were in Dingo's boots who would you choose as a replacement? Another 8? (not likely)

If I was Robbie Deans I would pick Huia Edmonds as a replacement for Wycliff Palu

Not sure on the editing of the Poll but I'll have Dave Dennis - replace a hard hitter with another one. This is based on Pocock coming through unscathed against the Russians though.

If Pocock doesn't come out 100% fit, Beau Robinson is on the plane for me.

If it's a straight 8 for 8, then I look at who consistently carried the ball forward during the Super 15 season and the answer is Ita Vaea. Maybe he's not eligible and maybe his hands let him down at the crucial times but despite not looking overly fit he did truck it up for the Brumbies and made a fair share of crunch tackles (except for the one on Diggers!)

Strangely,I find myself agreeing with Slim. JON should be on bended knee begging George. He's still got it. Also played a bit of 10 and 12 for Toulon this year..

It depends on Pocock's fitness, if there is a concern then Hodgson will be called up I reckon.

If he is OK, then someone who can play 8

I voted Hodgson as the realistic option. Personally, I'd choose George Smith. I think Dennis rates a better chance than some of the others on there as well.

I'd be inclined to get an outside back for the russia game, then reassess where we stand re: injuries after that.

A tier 1 nation lining up a no.8 on the wing (despite his prior experience there) is embarrassing. It says an awful lot about our belief in our depth back at home.

Players coming back from injuries pre-emptively into a knockout comp is a good way to get knocked out. I'd be inclined to go with fit players who just missed the cut rather than crocked players who made it.
