Found this when trawling the net. Send McCabe, Horne and Ant all packing, Salesi Ma'afood is clearly the solution:

Haha great find.

Funny thing is Salesi looks quite athletic in that mugshot, didn't seem too out of place.

Check out the pictures of Big Kev at the one minute mark. Apparently all Australian forwards that wear head gear is James Horwil.

I have never seen so many players squished into a preview of a team, did they not just think to use the substitution bench separately. That was really confusing

Well, if Samo plays at wing, then surely this is the next logical step with TPN playing at 10 and QC (Quade Cooper) to 7......isn't it?? LOL

Would you call up an extra back for a game against Russia when you have four backs returning from injury for the next game? I wouldn't.

Given the guys who are possibly coming back - probably.

McCabe, Fainga'a are hardly proven at this level and haven't played so amazingly well that they're indispensable.
Horne - may be good but hasn't played Super Rugby at all this year and has only a handful of Tests to his name.

Giteau is sitting at home with 90-odd Tests to his name - hell, even Mortlock could be called up and I don't think you would lose much. Is Ants or McCabe really that much better than either of those guys - not IMO.

Geez....the more I think about it, the happier I am that Mortlock was overlooked.

Meh... Someone calling for Mortlock's inclusion clearly hasnt watched a lot of Australian rugby this year... or last year...

Actually, I did watch a bit of Mortlock this year with the Rebels.

How do you think Ants would have gone there in Melbourne? Much better? What about McCabe? Now put Mortlock in the Reds backline...would he have done any worse than Fainga'a did. I highly doubt it.

Mortlock more than equals Fainga'a and McCabe for hard running and tackling and what he may lack in pure pace, he makes up for in experience - and RWC experience at that.
