Was at Tasman-Naki game yesterday, with mate from Aus, good match. Came away with impression that had the Naki still had someone like Perofeta in backline, perhaps things may have been different. Forwards went really well, but backs lacked something. Be interesting to see how many Naki players are fit for storm week as there was a hell of a lot of injuries

^ 'naki will surely be too good for Turbos on Friday but, yeah, it could get ugly v CM next Wednesday.
Yep and we head back to the Naki tomorrow, so we'll get up to that game too WOB, actually mate doesn't fly out until next Thursday, so we will catch Wednesday night game as well. Very good timing for a holiday by mate!

And Wellington win the shield, great to see a game where the players are so over the moon. Was a bloody hard game. but all Lions players will be in raptures , at least until Waikato get their challenge next week!!

Well Auckland seemed to want to prove that they could play some real dumb rugby at times last night, Caterbury surely went well, but at times must of thought Orcs were giving them game!!

And of course this arvo we have the Shield game, you would suspect Waikato maybe favourites, but regardless suspect a few from Wellington and Waikato will think this the most important game of the weekend tests included.
Bled is put away, and RC maybe less important to many compared to shield.

There's people up these ways already planning their Shield victory parties... & may not bother with Bled2 what with it being a dead rubber & hardly anyone really caring that much about RC (matches within RC such as Bled & SA obviously but the comp overall not so much).

Exactly WOB, for some reason RC has never quite caught imagination as much as the games within as you say.

^ the novelty has well & truly worn off. Needs to be expanded to include Japan & a PI (logically Fiji but maybe contestable by Samoa & Tonga longer-term) plus made biennial with proper 3-Test plus midweek fixture tours in the "off" years.

Bloody good game so far, 14-10 to Hawke Eyes, both teams well in this!

^ Magpies will be filthy after last week, whoever they played this week was always gunna cop the backlash.

Edit: Steamers have taken the lead...

Mako toweling up Taniwha, maybe a QF is doable after all...
