Doesn't come much more grass roots than this (at least in the big city) does it?

Well done to all those unsung heros of Heavensgame, and good luck to those battling it out in the Div 1 GF this weekend.

Played for the Quins against NTA's Rouse Hill in Div5 2nd Grade. We were down 19-3 after half time but the Renegades started to tire in the heat and we wrestled it back to 19-15 before a runaway try sealed the win for them. Good hard-fought match.

Division 6:
- Meldrum Cup: Redfield 24 vs Liverpool 22

Our (Oakhill old boys) game against Redfield was a good one, my first impression of the Redfield team was that all we had to do was use our bigger lads to out-muscle them, but we found (the hard way) that they were extremely well drilled and fit as. We were competitive for about the first 30 minutes, and for a purple patch of about 20 minutes in the second half had them on the back foot but in the end we were flattened in the closing stages.

Where's the point scoring ? The whole point of playing subbies is that defence, big hits & cheap shots notwithstanding, is optional.

Well done St George, first success for 30 years or so, I played with them back in 2005 and we had some awful beatings against us in 3rd division.
Sad to see another ex club Waverley down the bottom of 2nd div so I suppose that means relegation
