Among the few benefits enjoyed by long-suffering NSW Life Members over the years (which induced me to pay out a lot of money to become and remain a Life Member) have been complimentary program vouchers and parking vouchers for home games which we have received each year. For some mysterious reason, these have not been included in the 2011 membership packs sent to NSW Life Members. NSW Rugby should explain why, as to act contrary to representations which induced people to become NSW Life Members would seem to be contrary to the Commonwealth Trade Practices Act.

Good news! NSWRU has just phoned and informed me that my situation was caused by a glitch in renewal of my Life Membership when I renewed my tickets for 2011. Thanks Reg and Moses for your input.

Being just a blue blood member - what's the difference between mine & a life membership other than parking perks?

Glad to hear it Rob,
I've renamed the thread as "Gouging" doesn't really describe an administrative glitch

Wank value and $1500...

I am a disaffected life member, and believe wholeheartedly that is the difference. I had numerous troubles with the admin side right the way along, felt used, abused and taken for granted. I love the Waratahs (side) but believe that the Waratahs membership department and culture is the worst in Sydney.

For me, it is a particularly bitter pill to swallow as it was the grand gesture of my parents for my 21st birthday to get me life membership in the first place.

I should clarify: for some Bluebloods, there would be an improvement in seating. For me, it actually got worse as I was already in an awesome "life member" seat as a Blueblood.
