Is anyone going to be at Rat Park on Sunday that can give match reports, photographs, revised team lists, or score updates from U16's or Opens?

Good to see a great program set up the honchos of the CHS. I always thought that a strong CHS side is great for the game, as it is out of the traditional rugby programs.

Match updates from AICES vs CHS 2nd XV match from G&GR correspondent in the Rat Park Stands:

AICES up 10-0 after about 10 minutes.

AICES in again. Looking strong. 17-0

CHS in after a lot of pressure close to the line. 17-7.

CHS in with some strong running in the backs of the back of a strong maul. AICES 17-14 CHS.

CHS in again. CHS 21-17 AICES. That is half time.

Try scorers: AICES 7 (Aron PETERS) and 18 (Tim ANSTEE).

CHS 8 (Jordon IEREMIA) and 13 (Reece McINTOSH)(2).

Very good game thus far. CHS are bigger and look good when they can retain possession - especially when they can get the ball wide and on the front foot.

AICES strength seems to be the back row who are hungry at the breakdown and backs who are capable of capitalizing on their opportunities. AICES 10 (Michael YARHAM) is a standout for them.

AICES penalty shot is successful. CHS 21-20 AICES.

AICES land another penalty shot. AICES 23-21 CHS

CHS with a late try to go up 26-23.

AICES play great work with forwards and backs supporting at the edge. Try to number 2 (Jock BARRY). AICES 30-26 CHS.

AICES absorb a lot of pressure to win a penalty and hold on to win 30-26.

Final Score: AICES 1st XV 30 def CHS 2nd XV 26

CHS 2nd XV for AICES game
1. Evander FILEMU, Endeavour SHS

Short Match report from a G&GR snout at Rat Park.

CHS scored early, surprising ISA with a driving mall from a 5m lineout. the scoring in the remainder of the 1st 1/2 was to ISA

ISA 1st XV 17 - CHS 1st XV 7 at oranges.

CHS turned the screws in the second and scored early to get within 3, after absorbing a significant period of pressure the ISA capitalised on a turnover around their own 22 and good broken play attack allowed them to score a wide try.

A second try under the post converted took ISA to 29 with around 10minutes to go. This meant CHS needed to score three times in the last period to snatch victory. Though the Combined High Schools team gave themselves every opportunity they could only manage one more try.

Unfortunately The CHS fullback 15. Taulago LALAGA was carried from the field with what appeared to be a significant injury, This lad was causing a fair bit of trouble for the ISA defence, from the CHS v CAS report he was doing much the same there as well.

Final Score: ISA 1st XV 29 (5 tries 2 conversions) def
CHS 1st XV 19 (3 tries 2 conversions)
