Yes officially 22.5 to accomodate the max 90 min per day rule, but have been more like 27.5 in practice. NSWRU u15s have been the stand out, defeating the Syd u16s and only just going down to NSW Schools u16s in the dying minutes. Their enthusiasm and rucking has been exceptional and I think they will get another W v Country u16s tomorrow.

Quite surprised with the team NSW Schools have opted to go with. Does anyone else agree? Quality players in the team, however the team could benefit with a few positional changes. Just could not seem to execute those simple rugby fundamentals today and made far too many mistakes. Hopefully they step up tomorrow before their NZ tour.

Do you have a team list with positions from the day?

Also, I never heard of a tour to NZ. Surely this is a first?

Check out the CAS u16s thread for team lists. Agree re NSW schools team. Put your ball players in the middle and your finishers (who are not as keen on / capable passing) on the fringes.

NZ tour is a first afaik. 7 days in Auckland, 3 matches v local rep sides. If the team keep playing 'tuck the ball and up the guts' league style footy, it will be a character building tour as the kiwis will eat that up.

They play tmrw and Sat 10am Auckland time against 2 separate Auckland rep teams. No streaming AFAIK but would love to be proved wrong if anyone else knows differently.

thanks for the updates CatchnPass - much appreciated. If you're with the team, any chance of a view of who's been the standouts?

Also if anyone who's at the game on saturday has the "periscope" application installed on their mobile device, they could be an automatic streaming source for all those that cant make the trip across the ditch. Everyone at home could follow by installing the app as well (i have no affiliation with the app or its developers - just know it works)

Thanks for the heads up CNP, you appear to be the only source of information.

Careful as you may end up heading up NSWS or ASRU media unit!

I believe the match on Sat is a 10am (NZ) kickoff, but today was also supposed to be 10am and ended up 30 or so minutes later, so it all seems pretty fluid. Unfortunately, I'm getting it all second hand so can't add a huge amount by way of detailed match reports. It does seem that when they play more expansively the score board ticks over a bit quicker, as was the case in Sydney. There will be more snouts on the ground Sat so may be able to provide greater colour.
