I think a joeys coach is coaching GPS blue?
Got white and blue confused
I think a joeys coach is coaching GPS blue?
As per the program:
GPS white coaches: Andy Connors (I) Ross Hopkins (I)
GPS Blue coaches: Greg Thompson (j) Tim Anderson (j)
GPS 2's coaches: Brian smith (s) Ed Brenac (s) Ed White (s)
GPS 1's coaches: Ben Manion (N) Mark Bell (N)
Azzuri, do you know what happened to Lucas Choi? I haven't seen him mentioned once this year.
Yes he unfortunately had fairly significant back issues and didn't play last year. Believe his back is sorted now but he's given rugby away.
Agreed. If the coaches did decide the exclude Sheldon without his knowledge, which I am skeptical of, then that's very poor form. However if they believe the team functioned better with Wilkinson at 10 and that's how they trained then that's fair enough, they are the coaches and should be able to call
themselves.
The Newington 1st XV coaches are Bob Egerton and B Gill who must have other commitments. Anyone know which teams Ben Manion and Mark Bell coach at Newington?
Brian Smith and Ed Brenac coach Scots 1sts.
That's all I can add to the conversation.

I stand by what I saw 3 years ago which is the point I initially made. I never supported what the coaches apparently did, just simply believe that's not what happened. I don't have an agenda against Sheldon or Grammar either, in fact I'd rather see a Grammar boy at 10 for Schoolboys then from any other of the GPS schools I didn't attend.
By the way we're u running water at training to know what plays the 1s were running ???? Creepy
Quite - some might think that is the only certain reward in the jobIf never ceases to amaze me that men who think that they are such great rugby coaches, don't seem to want to work with what they have and try to improve each boy and mould a cohesive team.
The trouble is that the point you initially made has been shown to be misconceived at best.
How did these 3 boys, the 10, the 8 and the 11 or 14 run plays that were orchestrated to deny 13 McCutcheon a fair go? Funny thing is that the white coaches were from SJC.

the 10 instructed the winger to move to 13 and push the former 13 to wing on numerous occasions. The fact that they were Joeys coaches who were in fact running Joeys moves shows how bizarre it was that a boy who had been running those moves all year was pushed out of position so two mates could make each other look good. This is becoming borderline an attack on specific players so I'll leave it at that and it looks like we disagree on two issues then (fancy that, two people disagreeing on a forum!)
As opposed to selectors??? Interesting then again doesn't support your argument I guess
Buddy you need to go back and read your first post on this topic. Every single fact you alleged has been proven to be wrong - I suspect you went and looked up the AAGPS team list for 2014 and put 2 and 2 together and came up with a cluster fuck.
Buried back in the early days of this thread is a Lee Grant post in which he recalls, correctly, that Sheldon was picked in white at 12. There was an injury and he went to Blue at 10. You either didn't know that or forgot it.
Where was the 12 in this imaginary chicanery?
