In regard to Shore Vs Riverview..
The Iggie's will be headed into a familiar ground, where not even a year ago they had their premiership dreams crushed by the under dogs Shore as they handed them their second loss on the season. I feel as if Riverview will be looking to take revenge upon this giving them all the more to play for. Expecting big games from Jac Mac with his standard excellence in open field kicking and play making, Elliot Gehrig who will be looking to continue recent form, bursting through tackles tallying up plenty of metres in effort to push his chances for GPS 1st's selection.

Prediction: Riverview controls the game in the forwards due to the lack of experience in Shore's forward pack. Jac Mac's playmaking skills will compliment this and lead them to victory. Riverview to win by 12.

I don't see why everyone is saying shore has an inexperienced forward pack? They have 4 boys returning from last years forward pack. In fact, I'd say Riverview has the inexperienced pack with virtually no forwards returning from last years pack.

IMHO King has been playing a good brand of footy, would put him in contention for a gps 1 XV guernsey. Would love to see him receiving ball from Jac Mac

Apologies shortballking. You are right in saying the Riverview forward pack is inexperienced as only one forward has returned from the 1st XV of 2014, however from watching Riverview's forwards play very strongly against Joeys and seen in recent account that Shore looked 'inexperienced' I feel this matchup could favour Riverview.

Having not seen Riverview this year, and I can't see a post with their 1st XV listed, who is in the Riverview 1st XV team this year?

The forward pack that played against Joeys was:

1. J.Morrison
2. A.Hamilton
3. F.Cutler
4. J.Todhunter
5. X.Fitzpatrick
6. C.Scott
7. M.Weeks
8. E. Gehrig

I seem to remember Riverview vs shore 2nd 15 game last year. Shore forwards were so dominant, Riverview went to uncontested scrums. I take it many of the same boys will be in this year's 1st 15,

9. J.Noonan
10. J.McGregor
11. C.Hurley
12. D.Rorke
13. W.Terry
14. D.Mete
15. T.Lenehan

Regardless of injury my strong prediction is that will not be the make up of the backline for the game against Shore. Also expecting at least one change to the forwards.

And I'm not sure why so many have Shore as underdogs in this fixture. At best it's 50/50.

I disagree. Riverview are being underestimated. The game was even between joeys when the teams has 15 players each. 1 off for Iggy's.

I agree with GG. There's no question that Riverview need to improve their defense and some other bits of their game, but I was at the game and I'm sure that Joeys scored 2 length of the field intercept tries against the run of play. If either of those passes weren't intercepted by teh wingers View were in to score. Riverview went very close on 2 occasions with Mete? nearly scoring in the corner, and the ref called them back for a scrum when Joeys had knocked on and the Riverview center had a clear run to the line. In the first half Riverview definitely dominated the game until the sin binning. That's not to say that Joeys didn't deserve to win, because they did and they played very well, so Newington will have their hands full, but I wouldn't get carried away with the big score against Riverview, it could have been a very close game if the 50/50 moments went View's way and not Joeys way. The game against Shore will be a cracker with Riverview having a lot to prove, and Shore historically always lifting for their games against View.
