Missing schoolboy rep footy through injury, or by prioritising academics does not end a budding "rugby career".
Consider this:
There are more Neurosurgeons in Australia than Professional Rugby players.
The worldwide average career length of Professional Athletes (including all those involved in non-contact sports) is < 4 years.
Many Neurosurgeons (and Senior Counsel) are still practicing when they are well into their 50's. Show me the money.
