Does anyone know how long Sedgeman and McCauley will be out? I thought Sedgeman in particular was a noticible absentee today.Sedgeman injured knee or ankle during Nationals.
McCauley was injured during NSW Schools trials.
Styles was a shoulder injury during School Preseason trials.
Rudolf came through Nationals unscathed.
I think it was English who played 10 today.Did Maddocks play 10 for Scots today ?
Huge win for Scots against a fancied Cranbrook side, although I'll have to wait until after next weekend when I see Joeys vs View, I don't think anyone will come close to Scots this year, their support play out wide is near unstoppable and I think even Hutchinson won't be able to cop. Although we've seen teams look this good before (Kings 2010) and be taken down (Joeys and Newington)
Correct.I think it was English who played 10 today.
subject to the defence being adequate in the 12 channel: they won't make anything like the breaks but they'll rarely miss the gain line and they'll play a lot tighter than they did today.Did Maddocks play 10 for Scots today ?

I think it was 53-19 (or something like that in the firsts)
I think in the Scots Riverview encounter the forwards will play a pretty important role. This is where I think Scots will really dominate. SIC forwards struggled against New at times and their tight 3 gave away a few penalties. If Scots run big boys through the 12 /13 lane SIC will have plenty of problems, while I do think HH is a good player, its proven he struggles to hang in there in defense against bigger players.
I know plenty will scream me down, but while he can tackle well its not a physically dominating tackling style that is needed against bigger players.
I won't scream you down, but I don't agree at all.I think it was 53-19 (or something like that in the firsts)

Not taking away from Scots performance, but I just thought Cranbrook were very weak. I agree with an earlier comment that brook #8 was the only one that showed any ability to match Scots physicality. Their backs went sideways and when they looked like they were building pressure they either dropped the ball or kicked it away allowing Scots free possession and another chance to run at a team that couldn't make their first up tackles. Scots are definitely the team to beat, but I doubt they will have it all their own way against Riverview that can easily match them physically, and have a far more potent attacking back line than Cranbrook. Of course Riverview will have to get over a fired up Joeys outfit this week before they worry about Scots.
No problems with the electronic screen. Didn't mind being able to watch the replays. It was the annoying commentary going on all day!!! I heard a couple of Cranbrook parent pulled the wires from the speakers behind the stand, but they got onto it and put them back in again.I don't think the Cranbrook team are weak, maybe their first XV don't train 6-7 times a week, as I've heard is expected at Scots!Whatever happened to the normal 3-4 times a week for schoolboy footy. I guess I live in an old fashioned world.
How much money would Scots have spent on that enormous electronic screen that was installed for the day/permanently?

In another news, the Joeys parent representing himself perhaps should have asked a Riverview or Grammar educated lawyer for a pro bono http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/old-boy-t...-his-son-over-unpaid-fees-20140712-zt4dn.html
A recent Chief Justice of the High Court in fact.
