Dowsett is quick.
Like many 13s though he needs to be prepared to take on his man on the outside - back himself: he will not be hanged if he fails and with his pace he will beat more men than he doesn't.
Is he Year 12 - if so where is he playing next year?
Yes he is Y12, undecided for next year

Green And Gold Season Review - a laugh to keep us all grounded
Well, what a season it’s been. Now it’s time for what everyone’s been waiting for – Big Marn’s end of season forum review. Before I begin this review, I thought I’d just preface it with a comment about the SLOP. Without a doubt, this was the sloppiest weekends of rugby I have ever seen. At halftime, I walked across the 100 by 50 and the SLOP was everywhere. Even in my corduroys. I withheld the urge to pick up some of the SLOP and rub it on my face, to remind me of my old days as a prop in the Joeys 3rd XV. The Big Marn is perhaps the real winner from the GPS this season, as he without fail predicted the weather and level of SLOP every single weekend. Shout out to my old sparring partner at the BOM, P. Truong who was instrumental in these predictions.

Now, onto to the good stuff. With a long hard season of posting behind us, fingers are sore from furious typing, minds are numbed from hours of scrolling through posts and nerves are on edge from the recent purge via the moderators. (SD69)

Inside Shoulder – Rough year really. Seemed to be all over all information and rumours. But was proven to be demonstrably wrong on several occasions. Was condescending to some, but remained polarising. Plenty of troll feeding. 4/10

Hugh Jarse – Was confronted with many naysayers this season, and had send off a few big boppers. Notably, SlamDunk69 and the Big Show who pushed the rules of the ruck all season. Monitored the forums admirably, and should be in for the long haul. A stern word from Hugh would always guide the flock back to relevant material. 9.5/10

Lee Grant – We didn’t see too much of Lee Grant this season, but when we did, it was gold. He was the absent presence, that kept us all in line. Well done. 7/10

Quick Hands – Fair and balanced really. Stayed on both sides of the fence on a number of issues, this ultimately proved to be a winning strategy. Was cordial and well informed. A great year. 9/10

Brian Westlake – This bloke enjoyed staying on the fringes of the forums, and occasionally chimed in with absolute pearlers. A pity that these pearlers were often attacks at the Big Marn, and other valued forum members. More research required if any hope of a contract extension next year. 2/10

Sonny Dill Williams – To describe Sonny’s season as hard work, would be an understatement. Sonny provided good insight, and fascinating remarks throughout the year. Congratulations. 9/10

Long time reader, first time poster: I'm willing to bet a case of Tooheys New that $cotts have at least 13 people in their squad that are on Bursaries of some description. Prove me wrong, and the case is yours. All of you $Scots apologists have clearly been drinking too much from Scots' Kool Aid.

If you were offering a better beer, I might be bothered to type out a post describing how wrong you are. You were a better long term reader than writer.

Most Valued Member: Hugh Jarse – Always kept the forums on track

Best Newcomer: The Big Marn

Best Moderator: Cyclops – The myth, we don’t see him over in the schoolboy thread, but we’ve sure heard about him

Most Improved: Sonny Dill Williams – Like a fine wine, gets better with age.

Scots 3rd XV Highlights - a great highlights video, though the music rustles with the Big Marn a bit :p
