Weekend rugby viewing, confirmed to me (ex front rower) that fly half is critical position. Joeys really missed deegan, and while i feel for o'shea as it is always hard to step up, and shore's Clancy wasnt a real test
O'shea he will be better for the experience. I notice a number 19 replaced him ... Who was that?
Similar thing happened in the bledisloe, ie it was the difference in 10s that mattered. The so called powerball, aka cruden made To'omua's debut, one to forget ... Starting early with the charge down ...
All of which leads to my main interest, ie scots v new in round 9?
at the start of season they were slotting in joey lussick at 10, and i know there has been criticism of his passing, and gather new has been playing around with their 10, so think this will be the area to watch
Whoever dominates the halves will win, and newington has a good warm up in joeys, assuming deegan is back
I also think joeys need to reassess their picking such light forwards ... If they want to compete in the new cheque book era
Then again maybe I am just biased to old school porky forwards, and think boarding schools don't bang on enough food
