Is Crichton out?! Not good.
I'd go as far as saying, that without him, Scots will struggle.
Also I realise that I had Taane and Tepai Moeroa mixed up . Lee's match summary cleared that up for me
Tepai is a freakish talent . really hope he stays in union . although between shot put, league . I reckon that kid could do anything . we might . at this rate .. need to air drop him into the Ashes team . he'd go alright with Agar
I have no doubt he is a great kid ... particularly if you are one of his mates .... but I tell you what I could hear him yelling at his opposing number, when he was camped on joeys try line ... and he was yelling ... "yep, I got 12, we have crash ball here" ... and it was so funny there was no way the Joeys no 12 was going to be running it from there .... there is only 1 bloke I can think of that would have run a crash bull, at him, from there ... "Jerry Collins"Tepai will go where his heart tells him too. From what i hear, hes a great kid. Hopefully he ends up in union, and stays in Australia and not merge to New Zealand, after all he is eligible.

oh well, either way, just hope we aren't training a future all black
be curious to know what he got yellow carded for . that might be his only weakness . discipline .. still I won't be telling him
Thought the joeys half back was ok, certainly he shouldn't of allowed one high ball to bounce . Almost led to a try. And personally i think pat curtain should be returned to 1s. Better pass and don't see what he is lacking.
Also noticed Lussick dominated and scored 2 tries over the top of his opposition.
Cant see how Lee Grant can rate the Half backs game so highly when his opposite number run all over him.
You would also have noticed that Lussick scored his first try from the scrum he fed with Makasini on the same side and couldn't follow him around to the back without being off-side - and Lussick went on the blind. If there was fault it was from the Joeys' winger and no. 8.
His second try was from a lose ruck and the 10 and 3 were just as culpable as the 9.
Do I have a great memory? No, but I have the photos.
I reckon both Curtin and Makasini are good players and it was fair enough for Makasini to get a shot at starting in the Ones in 2013 after Curtin started in the first two rounds.
I managed to get to that Newington v. Joeys game in time for the second half. Enough has been said about the game, but I must ask: Is that scoreboard new? It looks fantastic
Interesting looking across the 3 competition tables and seeing where shore is positioned.
As someone who can remember the likes of jika travers, Chris Hawkins, and others
And you now have sons of former wallabies (Farr-jones, gregan, etc) coming through at shore
Have to say , it is one thing to resist the 'cheque book' premiership, but they have got to be kidding, a half back passing coach, 2 scrum specialists, .. The list runs to over 15 specialists
Talk about too many cooks, spoiling the .
And they should be feeding off the back of strong chatswood rugby, mosman rugby etc
Anyway they might have to start fixating on something other than their building program

Slightly off topic but at State Champs this year the Gordon U17 team had 7 Coaches, managers and assorted hangers on listed in the programme. Their Tent embassy would have done the SES proud. Meanwhile the eventual State Champ winners had a paint stained tarp to put thier gear on, and their "management team" was one of their players who had done a shoulder and was out for the season. Like the Gordon Under 17's found out, having 15 specialist coaching assistants at Shore will not guarantee success on the field.
The headmaster of a school obviously has the biggest influence on focus areas. St augustines is the classic example . Their headmaster, was a former director of rugby at another school. Not a big secret, I know.
And lambert from scots has quite the reputation
Anyway i have only the best intentions for shore rugby . And don't know anything about their headmaster, but sad to see once proud shore rugby looking a bit of a shambles .. At least from an outsiders perspective
Jika would be rolling in his grave particularly with the new soccer stand
I'll bet it did: we paid for some other actual school buildings freeing up money for a scoreboard.Yeah - it's new: I was told it was put up just a few weeks ago, and there's one on the football field too if I remember right.
It's good to see that the GFC didn't have a harmful effect in Stanmore.
.
So the specialist passing coach's job is to tell the specialist halfback to put the ball in fron of his runners?Hey SDW - don't knock the half back passing coach! Did you see the Brumbies - Cheetahs game? I nearly ( only nearly! ) lost it every time that Nic White continually threw the ball high and behind the forward runners! In every case the runners had to stop in mid stride and then were caught with poor body height in the collision! They could use a half back passing coach!
Piss off the sprint coaches though - that would give me the s..ts!
Cheers, Wreckless
