TKS 1st Year 12 players include - No 1 / 5 / 6 / 8 / 9 / 13 / 11 / 15
Five current y11s 1st players won under un-defeated in 2015 then went straight to opens.

I think you might find that the #9 and #10 for Joeys 2nds were both year 10!

Unreal depth. There is a reason they are the historic champion. Not many can produce so much so young like they can.

Dont think Shore won a game today sadly. Credit to Joeys through the grades - jeez every team is the same - crisp passing, fit and time after time, speedy wingers and fullbacks scoring tries.
That number 10 for Joeys 2nds is one to watch. Year 10 as well.

Hannon was outstanding in the 2XV on Saturday, had the ball on a string and controlled the game well. I will be astonished if he isn't in the 1XV this weekend. Although the Joeys 1XV won I'd say their backline was one of the clunkiest I've seen produced in years. Thoughts?

Hannon controlled their whole game.

Their ruck speed and phase speed proved too good and I especially thought got the better of Shores defensive line, as it allowed the ball to be played out to their outside backs and play their attacking structures much faster.

A little bit of brilliance from Hannon also didn't help Shore.

I would say he is a shoe in if it wasn’t for Fogarty being so good on the weekend. Looks to be a critical part. And you cant shift him in at 15 because Minto played so well, and 13 because O’Connor was just about the best player in the AAGPS this round.

I'd also assume Joeys want to keep Hannon playing in the #10 as they look to the next couple of years, getting him all the time at #10 he can get is vital for his development into what looks to be a superstar at this point in time.

Hannon (10) not going anywhere without Wallace (9). Both yr 10 and have plenty of 1st footy ahead of them. Fogarty (10) faultless last weekend. Joeys 1st clunky and still winning.

Newington will be looking scary this weekend with Makasini playing again. Definitely two premiership contenders. If the New boys can block out the crowd and utilise the speed of Roberts-Lintmejir, the size of Kupu and Makasini, and Granthams leading conversion rate, I can genuinely see an upset occuring at the Hill.

Thoughts on King at 10 against View last week? I thought he did well.

Just like Newington, Kings must have had some late "growers"

(On a serious note, I think that the "new normal" in 2025 for recruitment, where many 1st XVs become a Harlem Globe Trotter type arrangement, is completely unseemly and against what I formerly thought to be the values of the AAGPS)

Newington are not comparable to kings:

7 players in the first xvi on the weekend played in the 2020 13a's and 2 played in the 2021 13a's

After a long day out at northbridge oval on saturday. I've recognised the depth of number 10's in the current Joeys system with Tobias Gandy taking the role of Finn Hannon's past job as the orchestrater of the current class of 2027 A's team.

he repeated year 11, he is doing pathways I have been told.

apologies for my mistaken in counting, however this week I doubt you will see either 5 or 11 in the 1st xv. Both pulled off early in the game
