They are not very good? Thanks for that insight Prop,
What is the basis for New 3's to play in the 4ths comp?.

If i recall correctly, believe harry staniforth ended up playing 1sts in that 2022 season after henley.most likely these boys will just play 3rds and 4ths.
similar to kings in 2022 when their boys went to Henley. All off these boys went 3rds 4ths and one in 16As
scheduling as well. The 3rds comp has 8 teams as it stands, so adding another would be a scheduling nightmare with bye weeks etc. Thanks for that insight Prop,

a few of the boys are coming off seasons in the 1st and 2nd XVs and so I would be surprised if SIC's coaching staff weren't keen to get them back into the sides as quickly as possible. Will be interesting to see if the boys will still be considered properly for GPS selection, playing only 4 games following the term 2-3 holiday break. Can't imagine they'd be pushing for 1s and 2s spots that late in the year, how well SIC are going will also be a factor in their selection. But time will tell.

not a full strength shore team. Why is Shore so high? All there results in the trials this year have been very disappointing. A loss to Cranbrook that both Newington and View pumped.
Wasn't to far from being 15/15, if only it wasn't for the rowers. Haha.@The_Lock Not very Familiar with Riverview players but the 2025 View 1st XV might run something like this.
1. G.Tancred
2. D.Osbourne
3. T.Naughton
4. T.Johnston - W.Spora
5. A.Cabot
6. I.Perkins
7. H.Dempsey
8. C.Conna
9. G.Grover (captain)
10. F. Garling
11. L. Tucker
12. A. Mgrath
13. H.Davis
14. G.Feild - C.Lenehan
15. B. Folkes
Just my Thoughts, not very familiar with the View Yr 10s, or the View boys In general, Cheers.
Not many people had Shore above 4 this time last year...not a full strength shore team.
Some did, and it became obvious which members of the forum were current Shore students. However they proved correct so credit to them. Not many people had Shore above 4 this time last year...
What teams were those boys in last year?
Who do you think shouldn’t be in the team?Without having too much inside knowledge or making specific statements that may be incorrect, I think we will see some movements in Shore’s 1XV 2XV & 3XV that will be very surprising and not help their situation.
A good margin from Joseph’s this weekend hopefully might open some eyelids…
Green, Baxter are the 2 I have thought about primarily.Who do you think shouldn’t be in the team?
I think it will be another tight one. I am interested in Kings as I watched them destroy Joeys and HH last year and I understood most boys were in year 10 and 11. If that's the case then they will be hard to match as that was one of the most complete performances I have seen. Some did, and it became obvious which members of the forum were current Shore students. However they proved correct so credit to them.
I recall the predictions being between Scots and Shore. Scots failed last year and lose much of their team going into 2025 (e.g. Jaques, Fittler, Brial), and that is why I'm predicting them to be disappointing again.
My predictions:
1. Joeys
2. Kings
3. Shore (Will push up if Bassingthwaighte/Callaghan can actually play the majority of games)
4. New
5. Scots
6. Riverview
What's another name....we already have 57.Just remember everyone......two rounds.....a lot can happen. At the midway point last year @Joker was already in an uber with the shield on the way to the engraver at Westfields Chatswood to put Joeys name on there.........
Everytime I see that image Joker, I'm always amazed at seeing Grammar up there. Obviously from times long ago, but it's intriguing to see.

Congrats to all the old boys who beat the Argies to go undefeated in the U20 Rugby Championship.

This will be controversial but do the Shore team get enough value out of Sidwell compared to the likes of Frape and Shadfort?Green, Baxter are the 2 I have thought about primarily.
But what I was referring to was some speculation of movement in the 1s bench, 2s and 3s that I think (if true) are not going to help Shore. This includes some 1XV standard players put down in the 3s, without much impact on the 1s players that I think belong in the 3rds or 16As.
