It’s monday. You also won. Rightfully. Some people from the north shore would kill to be in that position.
Exactly, the View boys waited and only after waiting a few minutes then moved into position to get ready for kick off (in the rain) meanwhile there was no Scots players on the field yet. I don't think they're the ones to be questioned on sportsmanship in that case.I believe the Scots game started late around 3:27 and View was already on the field with the referee waiting for Scots. What's the leeway we give for teams taking too long to get on the field? Game has to start at some point
What defines "pre-match courtesies" as that is the only situation which applies here (as all others reference after the match) - one could argue that punctuality is a pretty important courtesy
Oh no! Who is injured now?And sadly looks like another injury or two to deal
with. But all teams face injuries just been a tough year where the review of selections (out of position and some reaches for those who just are not up to 1st in Year 11), game plans etc can be had but best those graduating look forward. Those there next year can have next years comp for redemption. Onto View next week. A battle in the 2’s for second in that comp, and a hope for 1s to put on a display.
The fact Will Genia was overlooked for the squad in general is exactly what fuels people’s bias fire and fair enough.First time here, but have been reading the forum since the days of founder Lee Grant( his pseudonym) in about 2010. A couple of years ago someone asked “How did the Joeys second grade half get to play for Australian schoolboys on tour to UK?”
The answer was that the Joeys Firsts halfback in 2005, Nathan Seivert, played schools tests in August and October and got picked to tour UK. Matthew Schwager ,Joeys Seconds half, got picked as a reserve for GPS thirds but impressed enough V CAS that he was made reserve half in NSW Firsts under Seivert. On tour Seivert got injured in “test” against England. Schwager was at the time on a gap year in Ireland which the schools’ tour manager knew so he called him in to be reserve half against Ireland with the A C T half replacing Seivert. During that match T Talavara was injured so Schwager got to not only play but scored the winning try from the scrumbase or ruck.
I believe Schwager was still playing, captaining and coaching around Narrabri until recently if not still.
moral of the story is don’t despair if not selected by GPS ; what would they know!
Sidwell has blown his shoulder.Oh no! Who is injured now?
Both Riverview and Joeys have good depth in the 16s. I have seen a bit of their C, D and Es and there are some good players for that level. On the weekend, I went over to kings to watch the 1's and end of 2's. I came across the Doyle ovals and came across what looked to be a 16'B team from St Joseph's College team. I got there with about 5 to 10 minutes of the match to go, and saw some great footy. A couple of standouts, Angus Templeton (J) , the kid can read the game like a book, classy 10. Harley Harrison (J), I believe the boy was playing hooker. Another talent that stood out was the boy who was rocking a dirty mullet, I think I can recall the name being Will Bailey (J) the 15, running lines of the 10 Angus. Just carving up. Good footy. The next couple of years will not disappoint after what I witnessed from a B's team.
Regards RR
Can anyone else list a year where not once the full strength team was able to get out. This is the closest they will get with C.Galligan and H.Reardon back into the team.Sidwell has blown his shoulder.
Leahy asked to come off but not sure of his condition.
Potentially more that skip my mind.
Although before New, Baxter (2) copped a season ender. Garner takes number 2 for his final Shore matches.
Mate, the team to watch are the MIGHTY 14D's from Joeys. Both Riverview and Joeys have good depth in the 16s. I have seen a bit of their C, D and Es and there are some good players for that level.
Galligan only playing a half I believe, still a bit touch and go.Can anyone else list a year where not once the full strength team was able to get out. This is the closest they will get with C.Galligan and H.Reardon back into the team.
Think you’ll find this is quite common actually, unfortunately. Lots of good footballers miss whole seasons. For example Kings haven’t had Sawyer and Risati on the park together this year. Can anyone else list a year where not once the full strength team was able to get out. From what I saw last week, the coaches would be happy with 11 or 12 of the 15 that could tackle……Think @The Chairman is trying to say that this weekend will be the closest Shore will have to a full team this season. Think it will be 11 or 12 of the 15.
I just cannot wait to see the Galtitude return, such a key player with so much talent and a leader the boys need.

Last year Lees missed the whole season and McGlashan the majority, both of whom would have been penciled in for Kings 1s. Both were missed but c’est la vie.
Excited to see the success of those lineouts again especially the maul.Think @The Chairman is trying to say that this weekend will be the closest Shore will have to a full team this season. Think it will be 11 or 12 of the 15.
