Armidale has had a great dump of snow.
I was lucky to experience this once in 1984 where they cancelled lectures at the Armidale Teachers College.
Got to be tough to experience an Armidale winter. Hope the Grammar lads got home safely

Here is what it looked like yesterday. Imagine playing rugby in this.

First time here, but have been reading the forum since the days of founder Lee Grant( his pseudonym) in about 2010. A couple of years ago someone asked “How did the Joeys second grade half get to play for Australian schoolboys on tour to UK?”
The answer was that the Joeys Firsts halfback in 2005, Nathan Seivert, played schools tests in August and October and got picked to tour UK. Matthew Schwager ,Joeys Seconds half, got picked as a reserve for GPS thirds but impressed enough V CAS that he was made reserve half in NSW Firsts under Seivert. On tour Seivert got injured in “test” against England. Schwager was at the time on a gap year in Ireland which the schools’ tour manager knew so he called him in to be reserve half against Ireland with the A C T half replacing Seivert. During that match T Talavara was injured so Schwager got to not only play but scored the winning try from the scrumbase or ruck.
I believe Schwager was still playing, captaining and coaching around Narrabri until recently if not still.
moral of the story is don’t despair if not selected by GPS ; what would they know!

I was filthy the try was disallowed too, but on the replay his left elbow is on touchline as he crossed. Very 50/50 call

The entire Kings team not shaking hands is disgraceful (as was the Joeys boy Young a few years ago)

The kings crowd heckling, whistling, yelling the second last penalty was disgusting, but the Kings teachers obviously got them under control for the last penalty with only one idiot whistling.

Good win by Riverview, tough team. But even if they win the premiership, to lose to Joeys on the final day will hurt
