NSW AAGPS 2025 (banter and commentary)

What an amazing and dominant performance from Kings XV over Newington.

Also a massive shoutout to the red-headed kings no.12 who was by far my standout player of the match. He was both offensively and defensively sound throughout the 80. He may of missed 1 or 2 tackles but his kicking game, and defence was nothing but superb. With this being said, If he keeps consistent, I’m sure he’s up for a strong shout in the GPS teams at a later date. Furthermore he was an absolute rock in the centres against joeys, shutting his man down, and really bringing the heat and consistency in that nail biting win last weekend.

My apologies for not knowing his name, if anyone could share that would be greatly appreciated. I’m more than confident this young lad is full of potential and would be a major and important piece to this premiership contending kings side.

Please refrain from the tiresome discussion on the refereeing standards of various games and grades.
Remember, with out them there are no games.

With 4 rounds (and team of the weeks down) I am pretty safe to say this is the form team of the competition.

Many will challenge for high places in representative teams.

1. Tancred (I)
2. Smith (K)
3. Bloomfield (K)
4. Perrett (K)
5. Muir (N)
6. Toia (K)
7. Ghattas (J)
8. Fonua (K)
9. Grover (I)
10. King (N)
11. Roberts-Lintmeijer (N)
12. Anitela-Tsloussis (N)
13. O'Connor (J)
14. Troy (J)
15. Grantham (N)

The captaincy looms large.

Question for the selection does a play need to have played a position for selection? Like can a 13 be picked at 11/14 if has never played there for their school? Or are the selectors able too shuffle them ? Thinking of backrow and outside backs options.

Justice will play 8. He made the team last year, and furthermore, I don't see them selecting anyone over him even if it is even. If Clout is to make it they may put him at breakaway.
Lemoto IS playing 8. Played for Australia u18s when he was u17, already signed to a french club and hasn't even played union for a club, and knocked out 3 Joeys boys, including Justice.

No one else comes close IMO, they will have to put justice and clout at 6/7

This isn’t including from shore;
Strachlan (9); sick
Dalmeida (11); broken shoulder
Bassingweighte (Aus 18s last year); shoulder
Armstrong (2s in year 10 last year; ACL

I would say that Shore’s biggest enemies this year is themselves, their injuries have almost ruined the start of their year. Could they be the dark horses for term 3 with a possible full lineup?
Nah

Thinking about it now I could not think of a more dominant front row at the moment than Lavercombe, Smith and Bloomfield. All 3 have been playing out of their skin, and would make fearful scrummaging opponents.
Controversial but I'm going to suggest their all round game and workrate is superior to the superlative 2023 edition (Nick, Bailey, Edwin, Nate) who all achieved NSW rep status. And two are only year 11.

whilst these 3 have been top tier this year, I would say Osbourne Tancred and Conna definately looked just as good in the Kings vs RIverview game.
