Yes but I get a good understanding as I need to watch all games to put stats together. The problem with these is that they are put together by someone who (from what i have seen) has only watched one of the games and just fills in other spots with what is read in the chat. It would be awesome if someone
It would be great if all games for the week are watched by the person that puts these together. When I have looked at them in the past, I think some are just put in there because the boy was in the winning side. If you look at it from a positional perspective there is a lot to consider
100% MOD, I don’t hear much about those players who constantly throw themselves into rucks with no regard for their own bodies, only for the ball to come out and find the line. They are the true heroes of rugby, always doing their job and not looking for glory. The problem with these is that they are put together by someone who (from what i have seen) has only watched one of the games and just fills in other spots with what is read in the chat. Hi mate, just letting you know I have watched every game. The problem with these is that they are put together by someone who (from what i have seen) has only watched one of the games and just fills in other spots with what is read in the chat. It would be awesome if someone

Nice. I watch them all as well and focus on specifics of the positions and less about the outcome of the game. Its when the TOTW comes out 1hr after the games are finished that i think people are just filling in blanks with names that they have heard previously.Hi mate, just letting you know I have watched every game.
Cheers.
Okay, okay, hear me outAnyone got any extremely early GPS 1st XV predictions? -STB
Particularly when the only measuring stick we have is the Barker v Shore game titled premiers v premiers.. which Barker won. This is a AAGPS forum so i am sure many other would agree champ
You do not know that many of the members here are students who seem to be able to behave very well. There are of course those who come in here are stir up trouble, but they are quickly identified, reported and I bring down the hammer.Absolutely, I feel like there are too many schoolboys in this forum. @Joker maybe consider closing the forum for a bit.
This forum is to talk about the likeness of the AAGPS Rugby
So true, but it's becoming a joke. Scots crowd weren't even allowed to do the "hey hey hey, goodbye" after Shore got given a card. and then there is Kings doing the "... are wankers" and "what do we think of ....? shit!"There’s a few unwritten rules of the crowds from the gps. However the majority of the cheering/jeering is controlled by the teachers supervising. Sometimes the teachers there don’t watch the rugby and just watch the crowd to make sure no one is saying anything negative!
Couldn't agree more.So true, but it's becoming a joke. Scots crowd weren't even allowed to do the "hey hey hey, goodbye" after Shore got given a card. and then there is Kings doing the "... are wankers" and "what do we think of ....? shit!"
We also couldn't even run a little closer to the touch line when the 1s and 2s were celebrating the win, we just had to celebrate 5 metres away, it was like social distancing. Shore couldn't even storm the field when they won their first championship in like 56 years, what a joke.
I'm all for respect between the greatest schools in the southern hemisphere, but there is a line, and singing goodbye or storming the field is not across that. I believe that swearing in chants aimed towards the other school, or booing or disrupting conversions, is across that line.
Teachers need to be given a blanket rule across all schools, as do the boys, so they know what's right and wrong.
Any opinions?

Completely agree; some schools have it terrible from their soft teachers. So true, but it's becoming a joke. Scots crowd weren't even allowed to do the "hey hey hey, goodbye" after Shore got given a card. and then there is Kings doing the "... are wankers" and "what do we think of ....? shit!"

Spot on, the boys go to the games for the atmosphere, the culture and the fun, they are representing their school and they chose to support, let them have a bit of fun.Completely agree; some schools have it terrible from their soft teachers.
"Couldn't say it better myself". When being in the crowd at an AAGPS game you want to feel in and amongst the game not out of it. Ever since when joeys stormed the field against riverview the AAGPS association has gripped ahold of this culture. I myself was at that game and it was like nothing i have ever seen before, i have been to many AAGPS games over the past 20 years and have never experienced anything like it. The atmosphere was at another level! So true, but it's becoming a joke. Scots crowd weren't even allowed to do the "hey hey hey, goodbye" after Shore got given a card. and then there is Kings doing the "... are wankers" and "what do we think of ....? shit!"

Let's just say half the team isn't a Newington school fee-paying student.Outstanding rugby players thoughWhat year they came in doesn't really matter. Rugby players are brought it at all ages....
I can happily provide some information based on who is and who isn't a Newington school fee-paying student on another forum. (Sneak peek 1 back)
And even for the boys on the field, I loved it when I was on the field and had a huge, loud crowd, but now they can't say anything.Spot on, the boys go to the games for the atmosphere, the culture and the fun, they are representing their school and they chose to support, let them have a bit of fun.
I don’t think the top CAS schools could go head to head during the comp season. Barker have a strong firsts but close to zero depth. so whilst they might be competitive in an early pre comp game they won’t survive the attritional nature of the full season. They are competitive in the preseason because they don’t have the depth to require the testing of combinations (unlike the GPS teams) and they would be uncompetitive in season because they don’t have the depth to provide back up for the inevitable injuries. Knox aren’t much better and the other CAS schools are trending that way. Of course Barker (and increasingly the whole CAS cohort) are problematic for other reasons, in particular they can’t provide a worthwhile game in quality or number beyond the 3.15pm slot.would beg to differ top CAS vs top GPS certainly go head to head.
I agree Gumnut, but although the good As they have very poor Bs and Cs. Most ages dont even have a cs at that.Your wrong in saying that barker doesn't have strong depth. Barker has quiet a strong 2nds team who are currently undefeated in the CAS season. Same as there 16as. I am confident in saying that Barker 1sts, 2nds and 16as will win CAS this year.
Gumnut out.
