Who is the Newington 12. Thought he was best on the field yesterday. Quick and silky with a good boot
apologies - you're correct. A glitch in the software counted Rd2 F&A twice for all 2nd XV teams (only).I think the For and Against for Newington 2XV is wrong as they conceded 55 this week and 29 last week.
I did hear similar news of a hit to the ribs taking a shore boy to the ground for quite some time. Game was called off with only minutes to go anyways. Scots ended up winning the game by 5 tries.I believe the 7ths game against shore was cut short due to a broken rib or something along those lines.
Keone Anitelea-Tsioussis. Was in Tahs U16 program and plays Randwick Juniors. Also plays for Souths in junior league.Who is the Newington 12. Thought he was best on the field yesterday. Quick and silky with a good boot
Hardly overshadowed. Anyway, put some perspective. New students are not allowed to sit on stadium side, so instead they are provided an aluminum scaffolding quality seats on the other side of the oval where half the side of the field is roped off for spectators?! Absolutely comical. An unbelievable win and one of the historic days in schoolboy rugby for Newington College, although I’m afraid it’s been overshadowed by the school’s rotten behaviour. In all my years affiliated with the College (ON1978), I have never seen such unsportsmanlike conduct when the Joeys #10 was being vehemently booed during a conversion attempt late in the 1st half.
Some of the best culture/cheering I’ve seen recently. Also getting quite rowdy towards the end with lots of noise and aggression from the crowd. How did the Shore cheer squad go yesterday? Notoriously difficult to get out to Bellevue Hill but some great Newboys went from Stanmors to Hunters Hill
Just rewatched for the first time. I was impressed some good passion out there. I think it all came together towards the end. Good drumming, chants and overall outrage at the bagpipes every single time created a good atmosphere! Some of the best culture/cheering I’ve seen recently. Real passion when things didn’t go there way as well. I definitely think that crowd will keep turning up after yesterday. Will be interesting to see if they get even bigger numbers out at Stanmore next week.Just rewatched for the first time. I was impressed some good passion out there. There seems to be a lot of talk about how good Baxter is going recently, is it the name or the player?I heard Henry Baxter at hooker for the Shore 1st 15 had a cracker of a game. 2 breathtaking try’s. That Baxter family is something different.
With the potential return of Jai Callaghan bringing much-needed speed and skill, there’s a real sense they could get over Newington this weekend. His presence adds structure in defense and sharpness in transition, which complements the team’s recent shift toward more disciplined, well-organized play. They’ve shown a growing ability to control tempo and apply pressure through repeat sets against Scots (which they deserved the victory) something Newington tends to struggle against. If they can stay patient, win the middle, and unleash their attacking weapons at the right moments (Francis, jai) this could be the game that turns heads and proves their growth isn’t just talk.Do we think that Shore has what it takes to bring down Newington at Stanmore next Saturday?
