Wouldn't say that for Newington. On the Eastern side there was a relatively small group of Newington boys, no more than 60-70. The Western (grandstand side) was pretty full, about 2/3rds of which would have been Joeys boys & their supporters. Reckon overall crowd would've been around 1700-1800.Who’s got attendance estimations for all sides?
Heard Shore and New had solid away crowds.
Newington have not been a big traveling school recently. Such a shameNow we can't be surprised by mandatory attendance can we Ned.
Feel the lads are coached to play a style that doesn't suit their skilset just yet and restrictive, set piece a little shaky. View boys allowed a little more freedom to expressVery disappointing performance from TKS team after a hard fought win over TSC the week prior. Really only a couple of shinning lights from the team. As has been the trend for them it was the forwards that kept them remotely in the game. Lavercombe, Smith, Perrett and Fonua played tough and when the ball was with those boys, it was the only time TKS looked like something could happen.
Credit where credit is due, the SIC boys played smart and Grover led his boys around the park well. They played smarter rugby and definitely knew those opponent. Dempsey also a standout for the View side from my perspective.
Play should continue regardless of an injury unless it interferes with play, pretty much always been the law.My understanding was they were booing the ref after Joeys scored a try after a joeys boy took out a New and he was down with a head knock. Joeys proceeded to score with New a man down. Which was what New supporters weren't happy with

Yep was there at 12 watching the game with a close eye. Shore really should some glimpses of a great team in the first 20 minutes. They were up 12-0 in no time. After that Scots 13 scored 2 tries of the scrum the game became quite even and also quite slow. Many scrums and lineouts followed with the shore tight head winning a good scrum penalty off a defensive scrum. Was really good to see. Some highlights in the game included shores try in the 47th miniute and also Scots winning try after the buzzer. A real nail biting result and heartbreaking for those shore boys. Really a shame, but well done to Scots as the execution was top notch.Did anyone have a look at the Shore v Scots 16As? I heard it was quite an intense game to watch!!!
Correct. They were very good. Tempting to say Joeys' goalkicking cost them the game but I thought New were the better all-round side on the day (and I say that as a Joeys OB).
Very good forward platform giving their halves great service allowing their centres to make great post contact metres and several clean breaks. Joeys' centres are a real strength but their Newington counterparts continually broke tackles and also were very good defensively.
Newington's discipline was also better. This is something Joeys need to address as they gave up way too many penalties against Shore last week as well.
Patience. @Ace Ventura would be working on this now.Anyone have the table?
