Think you may have got the bad one out of the batch, I also lucky enough was able to treat myself to the last pie in stock, and was totally satisfied, fulfilling my moneys worth.If it makes you feel better, I had a pie at Stirling Bridge last week, and despite the previous glowing reports on this forum to the contrary, it was stone cold and tasted vaguely of mutton.
The cold, hard truth is that every school is buying their pies from the cheapest, or next to cheapest, supplier and reheating them with questionable skill.
