Agree mostly with this, was there any reason that Gordon didn't play 1sts or 2nds last year? Remember he was dominant in the 16As team, if Gordon and Lyne don't play props this year don't doubt Felix Harvison (2nd/3rd XV, Opens NSW Juniors XV) and Bede Clout (16As, GPS Presidents 1sts), if Bede decides to move from Number 8 to prop (He played prop in the 15As). Ollie Greig (16As, GPS Presidents 1sts, NSW Schools II) will also challenge Binnie for the number 9 jersey, as well as Duncan Cowan (3rd XV) moving from fullback into halfback. The back line looks to be most likely the second best in the GPS, behind Scots. But the one spot up for debate will be the wingers, In my opinion it has to be Charlie Francis (16As, GPS President 2nds, NSW Schools II) and Harry Longes (2nd XV). My changes in Bold on Maulester's post.Shore predicted 1st XV team list 2024

From memory Gordon had a wrist/arm injury so he didn't play. As well as this I've heard from some of the SHORE boys that I've asked he doesn't want to play 1st and 2nds, just socials.Agree mostly with this, was there any reason that Gordon didn't play 1sts or 2nds last year? I believe Gus Gordon got asked at the end of last season when he had his wrist injury. I believe if Gus did play prop he would be a good weapon and energy spark the Shore team might need. Gus also likes to start a few brawl's I've heard.Gussy Gordon isnt a tighthead prop.... good player that he is. (unless he's put on 20 kegs recently).

Surely Grover plays 9??View backline
9. Ed carter
10. Angus grover
11. Rupert Fulton
12. Sam Terry
13. Tom Hartman
14. Charlie Watson
15. Max Mason
If Grover plays 9 it will shift Jeremy newton or max Mason into 10Is there a better option at 10 than Grover if he's capable of it?
Carter is a good 9 and if you can get both in the side I like it.
Grover played 10 and won the u16 State Champs this year and also switched from 9 to 10 for the Sydney team.a natural leader/multi skilled player with a very good good kicking game. He will carve it up in either positionFair enough. But what's the difference in shifting the 15 to 10?
Who would be the better 10 of the three of them?
Strong team, should go very far.Shore 1st xv prediction

9 will be a close call with Binnie, Grieg and Beggs in the mix, Lotz is a smokie. My tip is Bass as 10, Wendt and McKellar on the wings, Conick and someone else (?) at 13. Kingdom at 15. Front row unclear, although Warner as hooker locked. New arrival at School is possible prop option, but Gus Gordon not option at this stage as wanting social team option. Backrow locked. MLM should be 7 and will be a choice whether Reardon or Hamilton play 6 or 8. My prediction:Strong team, should go very far.
Why not have Mackellar at Centre? He's a GPS smokey9 will be a close call with Binnie, Grieg and Beggs in the mix, Lotz is a smokie.
