Funny how it effects some schools but not others .. since joeys allowed day boys you’d think the demo would change .. but it’s basically the same

The Marist tradition dating back to Champagnat’s original vision was to provide education for boys from rural communities. The school has gone to great lengths to ensure the demographics remain about 1/3 country. The headmaster visits country centres regularly throughout the year and there is financial assistance for many via “the boys from the bush bursary” which is well supported by the school community fund raisers. It’s no accident the demographics have not changed too much. That said, in the old days the school’s single largest postcode was Dubbo, now it’s Hunters Hill, Dubbo is second.

Hi everyone,
Yesterday Newington claimed there 8th straight waterpolo 1st premiership, has any other school gotten an 8 peat in any other sport that anyone knows about?
Yep, Grammar did the 11peat in senior athletics if I recall before construction on the harbour bridge started so sit tight there for a few more years

Thats why when other schools get good rugby players they're imports, but when joeys get good players they're "good lads" from the country.

Funny except for a few facts, the bursaries are only ever partial and the reality that there are a lot more boys in the 9ths etc on bursaries than anywhere near the 1st XV. Oh, and 140 odd years of tradition.

Is this the King’s 1stXV Winger??
If i’m correct, that is a massive achievement… playing in the mens team with some big names after only weeks of finishing the HSC.

Kid will definitely be a superstar to both the 7’s and 15’s as a game.

Cornish hugely under the radar. Kicked 5 from 5 and scored 2 tries last round vs Kings in 3’s. Joeys coaches prefer a distributor as half and Cornish is a runner, would bring great variation and an extra threat if they choose to use him. Also Sharples gone so need a kicker.
There are a few kicking options, Fowler, Tombs in particular but the competition for the 9 jersey will be red hot.
