WOW! A brilliant try by Shore after barely winning the scrum. Ball goes to the blindside with Henry Conick running and putting a chip over the top. Regathered by Shore with a 2 on 1 with the fullback, Rex Bassingthwaighte goes over under the sticks. Conversion successful by Henry Conick.

Shore 24 - 14 Knox

Full time here at Stirling Bridge.

Shore 24 - 14 Knox

Shore looking good once again. Wet weather a huge factor in their ability to play expansive rugby as they’d like to. Defence held strong and withstood the barrage of the Knox big boys. Backline is class. Shore deserved the win today.

Knox were impressive. Played a tight game and did their best to smash Shore’s defensive line. Looked good when they went wide too.

Bridge was defended. Shore boys are happy.

Looking forward to the start of the comp next week

Yes I think Shore have had the best results going into rd 1 in a very even comp

Good game at Northbridge today. Credit to Knox who didn’t capitulate after the first try. Two different game plans it seems. Knox would just try and bash the door down with their forwards. Shore looked to play more expansive, free-flowing game but was hard in the wet hence the lack of points. Good look from the boys in the blue and white but well played to Knox too.

I feel as though Knox executed their game plan in the wrong part of the field. Taking hit ups in the middle of the field and slowly making ground before the Shore defence turned the ball over and kicked it out of the danger zone. Knox would get the ball back and that whole process would be repeated.
