GPS team selectors.Who selects the GPS teams?
Yes but who are they?GPS team selectors.
I think GPS coaches plus all the school coachesYes but who are they?
I think GPS coaches plus all the school coaches
The selector I spoke to on Saturday was from TAS. He does not coach rugby anymore but his sons Under 8 soccer team. He has been a selector for the past three years from TAS.My understanding is that each school appoints a selector and they go and watch other schools games. They are obviously not 1st or 2nd XV coaches. Some schools have teachers and some have outside people who are involved in rugby.
2s will be hugo orpin1- Hwi
2 - Henry James
B - Sam McLachlan
W - Smith/Whatley
Joeys far in a way the most intimidating environment.Agree with the comments but also worth noting View already beaten Joeys ‘away’. Joeys No. 1 not a particularly intimidating venue and while always tough to win there, that is more a reflection on the opposition. Will be a cracker with plenty to play for.
GPS 1st XV by 20TIPS TURN AROUND.
Get them in quick.
I have put the AAGPS teams first, even though they are playing at a CAS school.
If you do not get them in, then the second team becomes your pick. (see below)
There are four games being played.
Fixtures at Knox Grammar School
TUESDAY 20 JUNE
3.15pm GPS White v Country Juniors
4.30pm GPS Blue v Sydney Juniors
5.45pm GPS 2nd XV v CAS 2
7.00pm GPS 1st XV v CAS 1
I will be making score updates from across all games.
SBH.. gotta check the ground for glass, needles and dogs pop - before kick offI know....big grandstands, carpet like playing surface, licensed bar opened at full time
That gets me thinking....what is the most intimidating place to play and why?

Oh Wristy....nice to see you again.Joeys far in a way the most intimidating environment.
In years gone by there were 4 oppositions with which to contend - the Joeys team, the loud partisan crowd, the referee and the time keeper.
An almighty task for any visiting team.
Referees and timekeepers have been less of an issue in recent years.....but those final 2 minutes have been stretched enormously in the past.

I think this could be closest game. Don’t know if they have got some more training in than GPS that can help combos and there are guys like Lamming who played GPS and Aus Schools last year in the side.
Quiet a few 1st/2nds Colts players in Pt 1 team (albeit some unusual positional selections in the forwards).View attachment 16525View attachment 16526
