Think you're right about Kings. Only chance I'd say would be Joint Premiership but any team would require other results to go their way also.

I like you've have a crack at the predictions but I honestly cant pick it. You can look at it from any one of the other Schools point of views and they will back themselves.

Joeys are looking much improved. Very good set piece and just need to settle the backline. Major flaw for me is the backline defence. Scots went through a few times too many and just couldn't finish it off. This is the area of the game both Newington and View like to play so it will be an interesting match up.

Never game to write Shore off. Wouldn't surprise me to see them go 2/2. Well drilled team that will frustrate someone into a loss. Every chance they get randomly blown out in another when a team can just get into their rhythm.

Scots are a bit disappointing this year. Just not clicking. I'm over hearing about injuries, everyone has them every year. Have looked better since the move at 15.

Newington....who knows. They have their own demons to fight and if they do they have a team that can challenge/beat anyone. Coaches need to have a look at themselves at Stanmore IMO. It's not just the 1sts looking lost. It's the program.

View just keep on keeping on. Loss to Shore hurts as it took their season out of their own control. Definitely much improved on last season and play like a team whilst having a few standouts. If they finished off the year 4/4 they should be proud. Joeys away will be a huge test and I'm sure they are keen for a shot at Kings at home.
Agree with the comments but also worth noting View already beaten Joeys ‘away’. Joeys No. 1 not a particularly intimidating venue and while always tough to win there, that is more a reflection on the opposition. Will be a cracker with plenty to play for.

I know....big grandstands, carpet like playing surface, licensed bar opened at full time

That gets me thinking....what is the most intimidating place to play and why?

Joker can you confirm the Kings v Shore score?
Was it 29-19 or as your ladder has 29-21. May affect points differential tally for margin
I got this score from the AAGPS website

Cluch made an error.
They only gave 5 for the penalty try when it is 7 points. 3 x 7 = 21

Few carcasses under there.

Hard question to answer as I think it depends a lot on how a team is going and the crowd involvement. Can feel very lonely and exposed at Kings which is an intimidation of its own. Joeys is surrounded which is great. Most travelling teams will have limited support which means its hell but View will always have numbers so at least the boys have one side of the field in the favour.

Hey Fellas,

Anyone have any intel on the Sydney side thats set to play GPS Blue?

I'm thinking, without knowing the opposition, that the Blue XV will be an exciting team and may be hard to stop for Sydney.

I think this could be closest game. Don’t know if they have got some more training in than GPS that can help combos and there are guys like Lamming who played GPS and Aus Schools last year in the side.

I have put the AAGPS teams first, even though they are playing at a CAS school.

If you do not get them in, then the second team becomes your pick. (see below)

There are four games being played.

4.30pm GPS Blue v Sydney Juniors
5.45pm GPS 2nd XV v CAS 2

I will be making score updates from across all games.

On your points :
1) Like Ghost says, it shows that New have very good individual players but when they come together, for whatever reason ( imo it's coaching and historical attitude of New teams)Newington teams don't gel and underperform.
4) Just because Matteo is Captain of Rugby and older does not mean he should be selected ahead of his younger brother. Fisrtly, they play different positions so cant compare the two. Secondly, whether older or younger, it's chosen on merit and if the selectors, right/wrong, think he is better then so be it. Age and title has nothing to do with it.
IMO, Luca is fortunate to be chosen however has been playing well. Matteo is in the 2nds behind some very talented players however will be given the chance to show what he has to offer against them.
