Round 4 tips are open.

Last week taught us that this competition is very close and any team on their day can upset another.
This week is really no different with the away teams all with a chance.
Is there a gimme?
Good luck with your predictions.

Tips close midnight Friday
Some great fixtures coming up this week,
Tips lads
Kings +14
View + 10
New + 7

People seem to be looking past the intentional knockdown by the Kings 10 in the 53rd minute that should have been a yellow card. A shocking call by the ref could have had a massive effect on the game especially because it is one of King's key players and without him, I believe the King's attack is much much worse.

Does anyone else agree?

cheers footy head
No doubt the removal of King's 'figurehead' player would cripple their momentum significantly. Behaviour in line with King's recent desperation, I just had to roll my eyes and gnaw my teeth at that decision, but I suppose that's footy sometimes.

Regards,
RBE (SBHS 83')

My U16 GPS Team

1. Lavercomb (kings)
2. Gahttas (joeys)
3. Davenport (kings)
4. Green (joeys)
5. Fonua (kings)
6. Massey (joeys)
7. Perrett (kings)
8. Justice (joeys)
9. Grova (veiw)
10. Sawyer (kings)
11. good option from newington, not sure of name
12. Farrah (kings) / Gough (joeys)
13. Makasini (newington) / Tregonning (kings)
14. another good option from scots, unsure of name
15. Tregonning (kings) / Palmisani (joeys)

I think that sawyer takes out fowler for the fly half spot, as he did make 15 gen blue over jonty. Alot of kings and joeys boys have great potential for the presidents team. I think as the kings boys start to get into older age groups they get well drilled and lot more skill about them. Inside centre could change with both Farrah and Gough out with injury. Large could be and option from scots to play that position.
Also note GPS team of the week player Ed Baxter (son of wallabies legend Al Baxter, 69 test caps) in the two row of the Shore 1XV who is eligible as he is young for year 11, alongside Tom Hartman on the wing for view who scored a hatrick in round two.

Just not sure If I am allowed to tip given my lateness to the competition, but nevertheless, for the record:

We need your help.

The table below is incomplete and we require results.
Plus, there has been a development with Joeys now not publishing true results Example. 15B's won 50-0 but in reality it was 90-0
If anyone sees an error, let us know.
The quicker we get the results, the quicker we will able to publish the comp tables.

Please help!

Joeys will be very different after the break. There is a possibility that Doyle and Jorgo both return, a number of other players will filter back in as well. So if they can pull a few wins out of the bag over the next few weeks..... it could well be game on. It's not impossible, to have played 3 for no wins and have a differential of -2 tells you how tight the comp is.
Will be a very interesting finish to the comp if Doyle/Jorgo/Young all return by the final two rounds. If the (potential) 2023 premiership winners get belted by a full strength Joeys team by a fair margin, the premiership will be a very hollow one for Riverview or Kings …..

Everyone is dealing with injuries so I do not think there will be an ounce of 'hollowness' to whoever lasts the distance

First time poster.....Grammar oldboy so it's a timely intro to this forum after beating Joeys :) I have been watching some games on Cluch and wow, very entertaining. Cluch is definitely promoting GPS rugby. But I only have so many hours each week to watch rugby, so waratah and wwallaby watching hours will drop because this schoolboy stuff is incredible to watch! That Kings v View game was fabulous. It looked to me that Kings and to a lesser extent, View had boys playing out of position. Although View lost, they are a very good team. Their 10 does a great job but looks more like a backrower to me. Kings look like they are playing 4-5 boys out of position. Maybe its injuries or illness? When the Kings team combine well, they look like a grade side and are probably unbeatable in a schoolboy comp but its only happening 2-3 times every game. There is a lot of upside in the performance of the Kings team if they get it right for longer periods. The View v Joeys game this week will be a must watch. Is it at View or Leichhardt again? hopefully at View. Maybe the boys would prefer Leichhardt.

Morning All,

Round 3 Team of the Week.

View attachment 16218

This week was the hardest week to choose with every game being close.

Choices were so challenging and close for team and I that we have a lot of special mentions for player’s performance.

The players are numbered by school:

Joeys – 8, 11, 14, 15

Riverview – 1, 10, 13

Kings – 9, 11

Scots – 10, 11

Shore – 7, 15

Newington – 6

Congratulations to all the boys who made the round 3 team.

The Import.
I was at the Newington vs joeys game and thought the number 6 Luca cleverly was easily one of the best players on the field defs should be on this team list.
