This was my side prediction a couple months ago,I’ve made a few changes. d wall is now a prop or 8 which we saw him play for act during the academy tournament, speaking with parents of kings boys Lotu v could move from the front row to number 8.

the backline will be shaped around key players Boston and hadely. If Boston plays 10 he moves Tom watts into this team at 13 and tyrese lokeni in one at 12, otherwise if he chooses to stay at 12 he will push tyrese lokeni to 13 and Sam M the 2s 10 from last year will be likely to take the number 10 spot.

while Hadley plays a key role if he’s fullback, Alister Y Luke M and Aadesg R will all be playing for a spot on the two wings. If hadely is put back on the wing due to his amazing form there previously isamu N comes into the conversation for taking the fullback role in a fight with Luke M and potentially Aadesh R

this kings team is reminding me of joeys in 2019 a triple crown is what they should be aiming for and refuse anything less. The year 12 group is one of the strongest the school has ever seen while being joined by the 16A co-premiers.

Good on ya harry.

Any younger boys to watch? Or will It be a first fifteen of a vast majority year 12. Heard of the third Grover? Is he a chance??

Hearing Riverview has loads of depth and will be strong in firsts seconds and thirds.

Don't want to put you on the spot Harry but what does your Riverview 2023 1st XV look like.

Clearly, the Year 12 cohort for 2023 is very strong in my eyes but with saying that there are lots of current Year 10s who will improve greatly over the off-season so it will be interesting who gets the nod. A few younger boys that could get a run including Angus Grover (current Year 9) but we will see if the coaches believe he is ready.

There is great depth in this squad and with the current coaching staff entering their second season I believe the boys from Lane Cove are a real chance of GPS glory in this new form of competition.

Watched lots of Connor Dempsey, I rate him highly over Hamish G and Ewen M.

any thoughts from you on this? To be all honest though only times I’ve been able to watch this view co-hort is when they played kings and joeys who put Large margins on them soo wasn’t Able to gain much.

Dempsey has fantastic foundations and skill to be a 1stxv prop but lacks a fair bit of size. Hope he puts in a lot of work during the offseason as the talent is already there.

3rd and final game played today in Japan for the Australian Schoolboys

The Australian A Schools Rugby Team will tour Japan for a three match series from 23 Sep – 02 Oct 2022. This is the first tour by an Australian Schoolboys team since 2019 due to COVID-19.

The team was selected from the boys competing in the 48th Australian Schools Rugby Championships which was held at Knox Grammar School, Sydney, 5 – 9 July 2022.

“This tour continues the successful legacy of Australian Schoolboys Rugby teams which have toured internationally since 1969, teams which produced over 200 Wallaby representatives. These tours represent the pinnacle of each boy’s rugby experience developed through Australia’s internationally recognised school rugby system. They offer the boys the highest level of international competition, team building, cultural experiences and the unforgettable life experience of representing their country in sport,” said Kevin Culliver, President of the ASRU.

Amongst numerous cultural experiences, including attending a sumo tournament and a baseball game, following their final match the team will attend the match between Japan XV v Australia A (senior team) to be played at Chichibunomiya Rugby Stadium, Tokyo on Saturday 1 October.

Dempsey is a great player but definitely can't see Grover being left out of the side (I believe he will be up for high GPS team selection). McBean was injured after the first game against Knox and was out for Term 2. He made his way back into the 2nds and played well so personally I believe he has a strong hold on a First XV jersey. But who knows at this point, it's only October.

I think the 2nds and 3rds will be favourites moving into next season as they will be filled with 1st XV standard talent and if injuries occur, there will be a great pool of talent.

Looks like the biggest question is who’ll play 12 for View.
With the likes of 12s from Kings, Joeys, New, Scots all coming back view seem to be missing a key 12.
… In saying this L. Grover played a lot of 12 in younger ages which could see View shift him in there.

If many have followed this oldest age group from the lower grades, Kings and Joeys were always top notch with Scot’s New View and Shore behind them. Until (u16) which saw all the young superstars go into the 1s and 2s, separating the table.

One of the only inside scoops to prove correct out of here about 4 months ago.

Well done.

He's a good signing for them. Definitely has something about him and is a genuine Centre not a oversized Winger.

Ollie Cummins signs with Force

Would love to see him back at the marlins once he’s had enough of carving up in top grade.

In the few games he played for MM he was a proved talent amongst older competition (2nd grade and off the bench for 1st grade) scoring the most individual points in each game (tries + goal kicking) whilst holding more than his own defensively. Sorry to bring it up but whilst this group has sometimes torn him up, it’d be hard to deny the talent he has and you can only be happy to see him sign professionally.

This Sunday

The National Championships, previously only running over one week and running for the first time since 2019, has evolved into a five-week doubleheader format with U16s and U19s age groups playing on the same day. The two top sides will face off in the final on November 13.

The new format allows clubs to build more deeply engrained cultures right throughout their junior development pathways and allows players a smoother transition into a professional environment.

This championship is an imperative part of the Australian pathway programs as it opens avenues for the best young stars across the country to make as strong a case as possible for advancement toward full-time professional Super Rugby Pacific squads.

Every match of the National U16 and U19 Rugby Championships will be broadcast on Stan Sport – ensuring fans will have every opportunity to see the exciting skill on display, while this weekends under 15s match will be live streamed on the Queensland Reds Facebook page.

Long time reader and first time poster.

I don't believe the no.7 position is a one horse race. In the mix should be Rogers, Baker and Whalan who would all bring the X factor coming into the Opens next season.

Rogers was a late starter to the 2022 season due to rowing in Henley UK, Baker made the NSW Schools 1. Whalan is pure class.

Milin is versatile and can play 6 or 7. Blackwell is another who has excelled and could easily move up having played in the 2nds in 2022.
