Rare to see a team in gold flogging a team in black!
OMG!!! or are you just doing a great wind up job on me?
I was told he only refs in the East and we are playing at Auggies/Warriewood, or is it his mission!
Maybe he is doing the 16as at Waverley, our 15as are at Warriewood.
The baronial style desk pen set is fetching, if a little passé
QH, What makes you say that?
Mate,
It's the Internet.
And we are having fun.

Hey WLF - how did our 'mate with the whistle' go at Death Valley yesterday (16As game)? I am hoping the players were allowed to play the game, rather than the ref take centre stage..
I think that Scots are a step above most teams. I don't think that Waverley will get the hiding that some think, but on the results so far a Waverley win would be an upset IMO.
A lot of work to do Black & White.
Newington were outplayed in every facet of the game.
Constantly pushed off their own ball in the set piece despite having a sizeable pack.
Their large forwards tired early in the game and struggled to cross the gain line for most of the match.
The Newington backs did their best but behind sloppy ball were really up against it.
Scots are a formidable team this year..with emphasis on the word team.
They have individuals that will doubtless challenge for higher honours but it is the speed at which they reset the defensive line and instinctively run supporting lines in attack that are their real strengths.
It is only week 2 of the trials but they are already playing as a cohesive unit.
Early days I know but it will take a very good side to beat them in 2018.
Amongst GPS teams Kings and Joeys have emerged as the biggest threats and next week they tackle the CAS premiers in an eagerly anticipated local derby.
The season is getting interesting already.
Was Wellington playing for Scots yesterday?

About half an hour of highlights. Took ages to upload [26GB file!]

Absent playing a match against Barker (as presumptive outright faves for the 2018 Henry Plume), across all the GPS (and CAS) sides, I think Scots may have the toughest remaining Trial schedule going. There’s no “gimme” games at all that I can see.
Up next: Waves (presumptive second line of betting for CAS?). Then Auggies (outright faves for ISA?), Kings (for sure, one of the faves for the GPS’ Schools Challenge Trophy), and then Joeys (another of the faves for the GPS).
Bar the final Trial game against the Joe Boys, all of those matches are in consecutive weeks, ahead of Scots meeting Newington again in Round 1 proper for the 2018 Chocolates; a match I’m prepared to wager, will NOT be anywhere near the lop-sided result it was last Saturday out at Stanmore!
With Rep games still to come, and injuries (unfortunately) almost inevitable at this level, I reckon Scots’ apparent depth is gonna be tested - but will come in quite handy down at the business end!
