Oi! Sydeny has more rain p.a. than Melbourne - so there!

But yeah, it is a bit of a redundant comment :(

Brisbane City defence has been bad all season, and it's only 15mins into this game and City are already hanging their heads.. let's hope this scoreline doesn't get messy

Very tempting to skip channels to ITM cup where Canterbury Lambs are playing the Manawatu Buckets.

Hoiles needs to go back to commentary school.

Jake Mc being found out this NRC i reckon. No stars outside him and the team lacks a lot of shape.

Meat pie for Naisaraini for BrisVegas.

28:34 gone. Mel 22 Bris 8 (easy conversion).

For those without foxtel, there is a fairly strong breeze favouring Melbourne in the first half.

Commentary Team have just claimed Harley Fox as "local talent".

More meat for Rising - Placid on the sideline.

Meehan adds the extras. Rising 30 City 8 after 32 minutes.

Seriously doubt that Nick Frisby has much feel for the game. Full arm penalty and he takes the quick tap, runs about a metre or two and kicks for touch. Rising ball into the lineout when City could have taken the penalty for touch and had the throw in at approx the same spot.

A double for Isa Naisarani gives Brisbane something at least.

Jake Mc being found out this NRC i reckon. No stars outside him and the team lacks a lot of shape.

It was sort of like they were happy counting on having Quade back at the Reds, which is great and all, but behind him they've got Paia'aua, McIntyre and (I suppose) Mason or even Frisby.

I liked Sam Greene better, but maybe he is better off getting some experience overseas. An injury to Cooper, though, and the Reds might be down for the count on the canvas.

Cheese for Melbourne as oranges approach.

Melbourne 30 Brisbane 14 at Oranges.

L Tui, and Ready having a strong game for City.

Good game so far.

Ref not rewarding the Rising at the breakdown. Lots of steals being killed by those entering from the side.

Defence has been poor. Lots of metres made by City on nearly every go.

Like Fox more and more each time I see him. Lovely soft hands.

it was very nice hands for Placid try but I have liked the double for Naisarani. Sure he may have been a little fortunate with the defense but his size and speed create those opportunities. How has he been going in the other games? Looks like a solid prospect to me.
