Cameras are usually in the main gransdtand, looking towards the least populated areas of the oval, but not a lot of spectator noise is coming from the effects mikes, not that there has been a terrible lot of action for Bellarine Peninsular to get too excited about.

Sam J back on the field for The Rising

The immovable object up against the irresistible force, but Jerome McKenzie bags some meat in the corner after a 55 metres run, beating 4 with a couple of in and outs.

Game Detail Update at 49 minutes
NSW Country Eagles 16 (T. Sexton (4), J. McKenzie (48) try; J. Lance (5), (49) cons) leading Melbourne Rising 5 (J. Placid (12) try)
Yellow Cards - M. Baldwin (NSW Country - 11 min), L. Timani (Melbourne Rising - 30 min), S. Jeffries (Melbourne Rising - 38 min)

Dashville Kuate on for Eagles at THP, Faeo off. Jack Pennington on for Stubbs (I think).
55 min - Rising subs: 18 Tom Moloney on for Chubb at THP.

Rising lineout is diabolical. I can't see how they can keep persevering with Pat's throwing.

Rising Sub: 19 Steve Cummins on for 4 Jeffries.

Ben Meehan gets a meat pie off the back of a rolling maul. Possible pen try of Rising didn't score.
Conversion missed by LoJo to make it a 6 point ball game.

More cheese than Bega. 17. Kuate off for a break for repeat offences.

Colby Fainga'a scores off the ensuing lineout maul for Rising to arise to within 1 point of taking the lead.

Yellow Cards - M. Baldwin (NSW Country - 11 min), L. Timani (Melbourne Rising - 30 min), S. Jeffries (Melbourne Rising - 38 min), D Kuate (NSW Country - 64 min)

When they played at AAMI they always sat the crowd opposite the cameras. Looked much better.

This has been an atrocious refereeing performance from Matt O'Brien.

So many poor decisions when he could have probably kept the whistle in his pocket.

#21 came on for the Eagles a while ago to pack down at OSF for Baldwin. It doesn't look like Angus Pulver from the team list.

Eagles scrum being owned while they are down to 7 piggies, as Colby F gets a double meat off the back of a push over try. Converted by Ben Meehan.

Almost as consistent as an IRB Citing Bloke.

Seems like some late changes:

19. Sam Croke*, 21. Paul Tuala*, 22. Angus Pulver*

+ the country locks swapped numbers ? Staniforth wearing 4 ?

Fat Shiela Singing. Rising get the chocolates. Eagles get a Losing BP. They may struggle to be in the final four, needing Stars to lose without a BP while they need a BP W.

Huge game next week with the Rising at home to the Stars. Stars need a BP or a W.

The Supe depth was too good in the end.

Might have been Meehan who got the last conversion.

That ref isn't particularly good. Doesn't seem to have an understanding of the flow of the game. Both ways. Hopefully there's better refs somewhere in the country.

that is the understatement of this year
it's Matt O'Brien
there refs everywhere in the country who are better than him
in fact there are people whom have never seen a game, who are better than him

It was Ben Meehan who got the conversion. This has been corrected on the game record web sites who originally awarded it to Ili, and edited above.
