QC (Quade Cooper) cutting Melbourne up early. Currently 8-24 in favour of QC (Quade Cooper). Perese using great pace and footwork to score. Rising looking soft.

Perese..Just watch that step and ability to change direction and accelerate, it's a unique quality

I seriously cannot express any more how impressive Perese is. Having a great game so far. So hard to put down for a little guy. QC (Quade Cooper)'s 12 looks good as well.

the rising one on one defence is appalling. doesn't bode well for next year

It's been pretty willing. The game is being played at a cracking pace which doesn't help but still lots of big, shuttering hits out there. It's something that I've noticed that is much improved on the first two seasons. The physicality of the games has been just brutal.

QC (Quade Cooper) leads 16-32 at the half after a loose pass from Stirzaker is collected by Conor Mitchell who gallops untouched to score next to the posts.

Rising need to sort out their ball handling. Of the two they are making the majority of the unforced errors. Most of QC (Quade Cooper)'s handling errors have come from actually trying something or being belted in tackles which have probably been the only dominate aspect of the Risings game so far. There will be some very sore boys after this game tonight.

Thanks to 22m for tweeting a few pics to set the scene (overcast though it may be)

That's a shocking stat. Rising with 22 mossed tackles. Considering they've put on a number of big hits that's not good. Perese off, hopefully nothing serious.

Try to the Rising. Penalty awarded 70m down field with Debra taking a quick tap running through the QC (Quade Cooper) defence and chips forward for Meehan. Messiness results in Meehan try.

24-32 QC (Quade Cooper).
