The rays played rubbish but hopefully it is only due to the disruptions and short preparations. The forwards really lack size and mongrel but most of that comes down to the recruitment plans of the Gibson led Tahs of light and mobile.
I watched the game to see the depth players have a run and to see if a few other players are worth a look for Eps contracts.
A few things
Youngster Will Harrison is not ready for this level.
The Rays pack got monstered like the Tahs did against decent packs.
Does anyone know how old Harry Burey is? He looked ok.
McCauley was fairly unimpressive. Looks too skinny and lacks mongrel.
I liked JP when he came on
Vui didn't do a lot. Tahs need another 3 as Kepu needs a backup and with Paddy Ryan gone we lack experience off the bench.
I thought Pat Sio was ok too.
