Not the sort of scoreline you'd expect with an almost Super squad, but I'll wait to see the highlights on Monday before joining Qwerty in a discussion of how they played.

There were quite a lot of changes in the backline for Vikings, and despite there being plenty of Brumbies there the combinations might not have worked..........

Lilo has not been in great form, and Coleman is better suited to the wing as he doesn't have the starch required for a modern 12.............

You and I disagree on Robbie, but I'll wait to see if he didn't handle the 12 spot today. 7s looks ideal for him.

The guy is even smaller than JOC (James O'Connor)...........

He might've been able to play 12 at club/junior level, but he doesn't provide the defensive steel or direct running required to be successful at 12 in the modern professional game.......... hence why he's been shifted out to the outside backs where his pace and skill in broken player can be utilised..............

Having said that, he might've had a blinder.......... don't know yet?

Tim Cree needs a contract.
Good win by Vikings but it wasn't very convincing.

Coleman played very well. Lilo was much better at 10 than the last 2 games at 12. Mogg had a good first half, but as soon as I said to someone that he was playing well it all went pear shaped and he had a shocker of a second half.

In the first half Qld scrum was strong against the Smith brothers, and Lala Lam had trouble throwing at the line out, with 4 or 5 overthrows. In the second half it all turned around when Alan Alatoa came on and the Vikings started to dominate the scrums and collisions.

Vikings were clearly the better team, but Qld managed to stay in the game, mainly due to Viking errors. However, the Vikings had better combinations than the last couple of games.

For Queensland Beau Robinson was a standout. Their last try to make the scoreline close was a shocker, though with the last pass at least 5 metres forward.

Oh, and the 14 who took Speight's place had a very strong game. Tomane had a poor game, with several errors, including gifting a try to Qld I the first half.

Good game by UC Vikings. Plenty of ball movement. Some great tackling all over the park. I would like to see a different #9 get a go. From where I watched Coleman is one of the most elusive runners and defended better than well in the hardest channel to defend in ,and ,how he picked himself up to score that late try is beyond me as that tackler nearly took his head off. Mogg's play was a bit confusing at times but that is how he plays and we were not out there. I thought all players were prepared to back themselves which had indifferent results on some occasions. Cree & Stanno put in solid no nonsense games. From what I saw there was plenty to be happy with.

Yeah but he seems to always make his tackles.. He doesn't miss many so size isn't that much of an issue.
