My thoughts on the game from the front page :

Cusack was deservedly MOTM, closely followed by Andrew Muirhead, who ran strongly down the wing all night and didn't flinch in defense when required. Both locks had very strong games as well.

As Mr W said, the whole backrow played well as a unit, but actually it was a very impressive all round effort by the team that got them such a big win. Their defense nullified the running and off-loading game of the Drua while in attack they supported the ball carrier and many of their off-loads were very Drua like and led to the accumulation of points.

The crowd was more than half way decent. Probably in the order of 1000 - 1200. A hell of a lot better than the last match here on an early afternoon.

Wow only caught up on this today - Vikings beating Drua 66-5!

I thought the Drua were dominating the collisions in the first 15 minutes or so, but then the Vikings forwards upped their physicality. They were especially strong in defence, and gradually took control of the game.

In the second half you would have thought they had swapped jerseys, with the Vikings offloads and running game. By then the Drua were down to one off runners. They were strong, but the Vikings forwards held them out. Cusack was immense.

I thought the crowd was much bigger that 1200, but it was hard to tell from where I was sitting in the grandstand.

It was also the first time I have seen Mack Hansen. I know it was only the last 10minutes against a well beaten opposition, but he looks the goods, and I can understand the excitement about him. His positioning and passing game were excellent. He showed both an accurate long pass and a deft short passing game.

Whatever the crowd was... it was too low for that sort of score and performance against a top of the table and strong Fiji Drua side.

Just watched the replay of this game - some really good quality football on display from the Vikings.

A real turn up for a top 4 clash. Fiji looked done by half time and obviously the score reflected that but they couldn't take their chances.

A big game from Tom Cusack and could be pushing for a starting backrow spot next year

A few incidents for the citing commissioner to look at from all reports
Yeh tom cusack was immense and agree with Fardy heading off could be your replacement 6 (given poey back and taking the 7 spot).

they are not dirty, just idiots, remember, most barely speak english or understand the laws, most have not finished primary school forget about high school , thus why we usually pick overseas based players in our national team, only 1 or 2 local players to fill in the gaps. a majority also play league in the off season lol...blame the coach, if the player respected the coach, they would not do stupid things like this...I'm glad the Vikings rammed the Drua, cause we had idiots last week saying that we should take this team to the end of the year tour instead of our overseas based players ....lol thanks Vikings... sanity restored.

Come on mate... biting an ear and gouging an eye is dirty in any language, they know that. Need to reign that kind of behaviour in before they earn themselves a bad reputation.
