She's not over yet
12 points in 7 minutes is a big ask (into the wind).

Impossible now. Rangi dots down for the Spirit off a lineout drive. Conversion unsuccessful (off the upright).

Spirit 42 Rays 24 with 4 minutes to go. Fat Shiela is warming up the vocal chords.

Rays kick off, Spirit resume play in Rays half, cough up penalty for holding on. Rays check passports, venture into Spirit half, win penalty.

Simone replaced with bugger all time to go. Sam Lane on for a cameo.

Spirit have strangled the Rays with their possession and field position dominance and thoroughly deserved their W.

Sir toots his tooter. Full time. Game over. Fat Shiela singing a Swan Song.

Spirit 42 Rays 24.

It is East vs West in Tamworth next weekend.

A fair stack of Frequent Flyer points coming the way of the Spirit boys, with 2 return cross continental flights in a fortnight.

Spirit win lineout 2m on their side, nice kick to lineout 10m out from Rays line on the other side. Scrum 20m in, dunno what for.

24-42 FT. Eagles play Spirit in Tamworth next week. How many km have the Spirit clocked up in this comp?

'Twas a rippingly good game of footy, even if the good guys didn't win.

As a Wobs supporter, we are used to the Good Guys not comimg away with a W.

Congratulations to the Perth Spirit. Played a much smarter game and deserved their W. 6 meat pies to 3
is a fairly comprehensive victory in any currency.

Can they add a NRC title to go with their World Tens title?

It's actually 3 return trips in 3 weeks.

Well done to both team was a very entertaining game. I thought the spirit were the better side all day Even when down by 16 as a result of 2 length of the field tries.

The spirit have been a very very good and underrated side all year. I guess this is due in part the factor of distance however they have only lost 2 games all season to the two side ranked one and 2 both in NSW can they do it again next week I'm not sure but write them off at your own peril.

Also a nice bit of extra spice in next week's match with all the wa boys wanting to give it to Godwin for jumping ship bring on next week!

Losing Lance is a blow but Prior is serviceable enough to get us through. Taps and Meakes need to shut down the Rays midfield. Thats where the game will be won or lost.

Spirit by 24

Uncanny.

Pigs were good as well. What's your tip for next week?
