Definitely what I'd like to see happen, a new environment and something to focus on might help him recover his best form, particularly with the knowledge that a big world cup/lead up will pump his value back up.
great point. He'd be eligible come October this year. Would add some vital set piece value to an prospective very exciting backline

Oh yes.. that would be quite threatening. The Pacific Islands might get a few scalps come RWC. I heard Laumape wants to play for Tonga too.
I wonder if this RWC will be the most open and afterwards they introduce a 10 cap limit or something.

Louis Lynagh is destined for England caps. His acceptance to national training squads and lack of interest to play in Australia (unlike his brother) has clearly showed his hand. His dad also calling out the RFU for lack of contact last year was also an obvious sign.
Keen to see how Tom develops at the Reds and then it will be interesting to see what the youngest of the three brothers decides- who from what I hear is also very talented. Could be that all three brothers each play for different countries.

Was watching Bath upset Harlequinns on Saturday, and they were saying that Nathan Hughes is eligible to play for Fiji later in year, 3 years since he played for England. He would be a bloody good pick up for them, though his form must of dipped this year a bit being loaned to Bath. (Covid etc)

Hansen's been playing very well in Ire.
Tbh I don't think he ever really got a proper shot in Aus. With some extended time at wing/fb, I reckon he could have at least made a claim to a Wobs squad spot.

I think Ireland's weaknesses are our strengths to be honest. Hansen's a replacement for Lowe who I've never been overly impressed with. But I'd take their fly half and fullback any day of the week.

Just watched the replay without seeing the starting lineups. Took me half the game to realise the 11 for Ireland was Mack Hansen ( I’m obviously a little slow on the uptake or hampered by a few beers with lunch or both ) , but he was very good . Had a roving license, followed play in attack , seemed to be everywhere. Didn’t score a try , but had a try assist.
Well done to him on a fine international debut and for taking his chances. Pity it wasn’t wearing green and gold …..

The irony is next level though.... ACT junior pathways produce a Super Rugby/Test quality player about once every 5yrs or so. Then, when they get a decent one like Hansen, they don't play him for years and off he goes to Ireland and gets capped straight away..... Hilariously sad.....
