Halftime 25 - 7 to Ireland.

First 35 minutes were complete domination for Ireland, and Wales let in some very soft looking tries. Irish didn't deviate from their 6Ns plan of play territory based rugby, helped by a few dodgy Welsh line outs and a dominant Irish scrum. I suppose as a positive for the Welsh was that they managed to go through some good phases in the last 5 minutes, scored a well worked try from a sneaky line out move. Dom Day and Eli Walker don't look over awed in their debuts. Not much else positive for Wales in that half IMO.

Amos was their best by a head and shoulders for mine. Phillips playing reasonably well. As is Jake Ball.

Scott Williams and Hibbard not having the best day out. Need to stand up, given they're the only ones outside Ball likely to be guaranteed starters come the pool stages.

I thought both welsh 2nd rows put their weight about actually, so a bit of depth there for them. As for Amos, he's dropped a lot of high balls already for me.

Ireland now 2nd in the WR (World Rugby) rankings after Sethfickens losing to Argentina. Regretting not getting on a NZ v Ire RWC Final, the odds will now probably plummet.

Non-Wallaby Lindo.

I'd been assuming that the Soldier Field game would require it's own thread, basically as soon as the 2nd bledisloe finished. I hemmed and hawed over including the Argy v Saffa game in Buenos Aires since its sort of part of the Rugby Championship, but I did in the end because technically its a non wallaby warm up game.

If people want to though, I'd be happy to make the thread a catch all.

Seeing the amount of wallaby players in the World XV v Japan this weekend I'd actually be pretty keen to watch it. But looking through the foxtel guide, looks like no joy :(

In fact, as far as I can tell, other than the Bledisloe they have none of the other internationals this weekend! Given that their in our pool, the England v France game also holds quite a bit of interest for Wallabies fans and I was keen on having a gander.

Mentioning the England vs France game... I will be in Canada then, so could anyone do an England fan a favor and let me know if they know a pub that would show ruby in Toronto. Unlikely I know since this is an Australian rugby forum not a Canadian one but you never know!
