Pretty happy with the ABs squad.

Glad they went with Jacobson over Sotutu and took a punt on Finau.

I think Akira is unlucky and Frizell is lucky - especially as Akira is sticking around and Frizell is off overseas. This coaching staff's fascination with Frizell is really weird. Either way I think ABs are much better off if Finau can nab the 6 jersey.

Christie is a weird selection. Granted he has looked better for ABs than Blues but I'm not a fan. I'd much prefer Weber. Hopefully Roigard gets a proper go.

Pleased for the debutants - all deserving - including McLeod - he strikes me as a bit of a Ben Smith type in that he always seems to pop up in the right spot and is stronger than he looks.

Would have picked Stevenson over Clarke but hopefully Stevenson can get a run as injury cover.

Ennor has had his best ever season so glad he is there.

Hoping Finau gets a real genuine crack at 6.

AB XV squad looks about right - though Zarn should be there.

Hopefully Hoskins can take this dumping and turn things around as he's still just 24 but I fear he'll never have the physicality/game to suit test rugby.

Assuming AL-B gets three weeks, which seems par for the course, less one for going to "tackle school" & McLeod isn't well enough to be considered for the Argentina match, who comes in as temporary cover? Goodhue has "runs on the board" & would be a very Foster-like choice, or does he go crazy (by his standards) & pick Procter or Sullivan i.e. unproven at this level but unlikely to be in the 23 & might benefit more from spending 2-3 weeks with the main squad rather than the XV?

I would be thinking it will be Barrett at 12 and reiko 13?

^ well, yeah, but they only named five mfb of which two are likely to be unavailable. I'd imagine they'd want to take at least four to Arg in case of e.g. a training ground injury.

Goddamnit I chundered out this rant in 2018 after another crappy EOYT
But it was cocky Beaudy that perhaps fucked us hardest. Fuck up after fuck up from The Golden One.

Oh well, on the bright side, Hansen is in goddamn DREEEEEAMLAND if he thinks he can anoint Fozzie as his hand-chosen successor as the next AB coach. Like he’s some fucking omnipotent mafia don. Try that deluded shit again, after having taken a wrong-nozzle monster slurry dump all over the All Black’s legacy by losing TWICE to fucking Ireland and the bastard would be laughed halfway back to fucking Wales.

Mark Telea: "I am the end and the death of your defensive system"
Ian Foster, probably: "Best I can do is to is give you a tackle bag to hold"

They let a Frenchman design it. WTF were they thinking?
If you read it all properly, was done in conjunction with ABs, and as all stuff is made and knitted in Europe that is what happens. And it was also coming up with ideas that can be knitted into the fabric. The jerseys are all usually developed in Adidas headquarters in Germany, not in NZ etc. It's all pretty speialised stuff. I watched a programme on development of lat WC jersey alldone over there , with secret samples sent over and trialled in games here in NZ. Cost millions to do it!
We get similar moans everytime new jersey comes out, the collar is wrong , the logo doesn't look what I like. It's black I know what my team will be wearing end of for me!

Was just having a look at ABs outfitting day, by geez they get an awful lot of gear. Shoes(dress and sneakers), boots, and enough clothing to keep them going for a long time. No wonder families like it.

Taine Plumtree who has signed with Scarlets is training with Wales, seems almost he has stepped off plane into Welsh squad training. Gatland seems to think he will be aiming for 6Ns next season.

^ someone posted an in-store pic of the $A200-odd version on the RWC Jerseys thread & the doodles stuck out like the proverbial. Trick of the lighting, perhaps, but I'll stick with my 2014- & 1996-vintages, thanks all the same to the marketing bois.

I just saw them. They don't stick out like doodles at all.
