Well he as per usual was dominant self against the rats. Looked for work all game, not being stuck inside the tram tracks. Some of the previous posters would have been there, I hope he didn't find Lee.

He seemed to get more involved as the game went on and didn't seem to be avoiding contact, but showed his true colours early on with that kick when he was put into acres of space and a couple of dropped balls that 99% of players would have caught with their eyes closed.

from a tactic point of view i thought the kick was the right thing to do, it was 5 on 1, he was on his own and would have been closed down quickly. however, i'd still love to see him go. I still think there's something he can offer at S15 level.

The problem isn't really his work with ball in hand. He just doesn't do much off the ball. He is lazy on getting back in position if a ball is turned over and his kick chase is non existent unless he puts it there. He also goes to sleep in some games and makes the most horrible handling errors for no apparent reason.

The criticism of his kick through is wrong as there were at least four rats players closing him into the touch line. The kick was a good option and was well executed.

I gave NN a bit of a wrap on the Shute Shield thread because he went looking for work and found some. I reckon he did do a bit of work off the ball for a change. At least he didn't score 4 tries against us again or was it 5?

I hope the big fellow proves me wrong; if he did he wouldn't be the first.

I was going to sledge him at Rat Park just to prove he didn't scare me but then I realised he did.

To join Sereli Nakelvuki on the other wing from what I read elsewhere. That is a very big and quick wing pairing, but they have both shown they have a big lazy streak in defence and tend to be a bit loose with the handling at times.

It is a great shame as I had big hopes that NN would step up and take a wing spot at the Tahs, but he never did. I wonder if we will see him in the Fiji shirt at the RWC. Hopefully he reads the critique of his game and shows what he is capable of (just not against the Wallabies).

There are several better Fijian wingers playing in Europe in front of Nadolo before he gets picked in the Fiji RWC squad.

I think this is a great move for Nemz. In my dealings with him he always enjoyed being one of the boys and I think the language difficulties would have hampered that in France. I think he will be happier being able to get out and do things and understand what is going on.

May I ask how Jimmy is going now? Probably the fastest player Ulster ever did sign but he never really settled in with us happily (he hated the weather).

He has been doing great with Montpellier since the beginning of the Top14. It is quite a "surprise" team.
But he had the "Caucau" syndrom this winter (summer for you down under). He stayed a bit too long in Fiji and was two weeks late back to training. Nalaga is in the same situation, still on his island.

Now gone from Exeter and in a bit of trouble over a drink driving charge. Where to now for the big man? What chance a short-term contract at the Reds?

Shame, I'd always intended to go back up to Exeter (I started med school up there) and see if I couldn't collar the big bloke on a night out to ask his opnions on one Lee Grant...

More seriously though, poor form from him on the drink-drive. A couple of mates up there who go to Chiefs matches say he was beginning to become a bit of a cult figure.

Fuck, you have to try pretty hard to get done over here on a drink drive

Saw a few of his matches on the tv for exeter and he looked alright for the most part.

Larno you are right about the cult figure part, he is certainly a favourite of the uni students that attend the chiefs matches.

Tried to promote him to my rugby mates describing him as the new Jonah :), they soon realised he wasn't quite what I described him as.

Also would prefer the reds to try and lure Joe Tomane from the titans than Nadolo, seems he is off contract this year and they have just signed another centre (beau champion if anyone is NRL inclined).

Tomane would be great for the Reds. He is quick and has quite a bit of ability. Also has a strong rugby history and was the first player picked for Queensland Schools a few years ago.

Sad to hear about Nemz getting cut. I hear he is heading back to Brisbane so he might turn out for Sunnybank in the coming weeks.

I hope Nemani works on his rugby hard and pulls a Beau - get a job, work hard take a punt on a team and get a contract. There will always be a call in Aussie rugby for a man of that size and speed, he needs to improve his wider skills and he still has potential to make it.
