So he missed a Tahs contract and signed for Bourgoin, playing for Fiji along the way. Apparently they were close to relegation? Which put his contract in doubt? They now seem to be right and he will be heading over.

Regardless, he's playing for Manly today. 3rd grade v Souths. I reckon it'd be worth heading out there and seeing how he fares. Anyone likely to so they can provide us a report?

I saw you two having a chat on twitter. I am off to Uni V Paramatta today for the simple fact that all of the Waratahs will be there (playing for uni) and TPN for para.

Could not believe he signed with Bourgoin given the financial crisis they have been under. Gotta wonder what his manager was doing. Vuli Vuli from Brisbane went over last year and there were issues with him initially being allowed to play due to the clubs finances. Feel bad for Nemani, but the whole thing was hardly a surprise.

You'd have to pay me good money. I've seen too much of him and his comic book rugby. He can run over folks when he's in the mood but then he is just as likely to chip the ball - that's if he caught the ball to start with.

Sorry to be so negative about a player, but I had such high hopes for him and not been rewarded that I feel a cheap shot is warranted. Well, maybe not warranted but it made me feel better.

I agree. Such outstanding physical gifts, but insufficient talent to use them in a game, even at club level. He knew as much himself, hence the Fiji representation, closing the door on S14.

Lee, do you reckon he lacked mainly application, or was he just never any good? Hard to believe he could do some of the things he did, but be so useless at others.

He was fairly average schoolboy footballer, often playing for the Ds right through to the As in a single day for Nudgee. However in year 12 he put in a massive preseason, and was a pretty destructive winger / center. But he just never had the hands, the skill or the understanding of the game to make it as a top flight rugby player in Australia. I would say he will become a great flat track bully winger in France and really make a name for himself.

Went to Uni V Para today, Burgo had another good game, Huxley had a blinder, Dennis was good, Yanayanatawa and Tilse did well and Whittiker had a few good runs. Trist, Mitchell, Hodge and Carter were great. TPN was giving the post match talk to Para and said he had fun. I spoke to him afterwards and said he had done his ankle again, and was scrummaging on one foot at the end. He is getting surgery week after next. After the game they all got into a massive huddle and congratulated each other. I managed to get a photo from my phone after the huddle, but while they were still talking

Bugger, does that mean he is out for the 3N?

I think TPN was always out - this "try it out" routine was always pretty sketchy for mine.

My understanding is that TPN had a steroid injection into his ankle (corticosteroid NOT anabolic) to get him through the last few games of the S14. It didn't work that well and he needs an operation. The surgeon won't operate until at least 8 weeks after the steroid injection as it will interfere with healing, so he's had to wait for the surgery. I think TPN thought that if he was having surgery anyway he couldn't bugger it any more and decided to help Parra out.

Even better was his post match talk to his team.
and I quote...

"Boys, I had fun out there..."

What are his technical problems? He always breaks the tackle and gets over the gain line. Being a Manly supporter I'm glad to have him. He made the 20s and was a contracted Waratah. Fill me in because as opposed to Lee I would and have payed to watch him several times.
