Reminds me of the Joke about Jonah.

The Darkness were playing Wales and were up by 32 points to nil at half time.
The captain then took all the players off the the pub for a few drinks. leaving Jonah to single handedly take on the might of Wales.

The Darkness returned to the Arms Park just after full time to find the score was 46-44 to the Darkness.

Jonah's response to why the score was so close. "After I scored two tries, I got sent off for a professional foul!"

Sounds much better when three parts pissed. :

I'll remember that one for when I am three parts pissed...lol

That game for me cemented Jonah's legendary status in rugby. He bloody well carried us for 80min and very nearly single-handedly won that game.

And was then the first guy to wait and stand at the players entrance and congratulate the French as they went back to the dressing rooms.

If you're talking about the 1999 RWC Semi, IIRR he was the only player there. Class, as you say.

I think that game may have been the catalyst for the previous joke re Jonah getting sent off.

I suspect that it is a timeless classic dads joke which may have been used well before being associated with Jonah in its most recent incarnation.
